Got this some one month ago or so and was very, very pleased since it was only 20MB.

But now I can't seem to get any updates and I was just wondering if it all was just too good to be true ? I it all worked before.

I've checked my firewall, re-installed and whatnot.

Here's the .nfo in .txt-format(silentwhisper no like *.nfo)

symantec havent changed the way they allow you to grab updates for the corporate edition I still use it and have never had any problems with obtaining the updates for both version 9.0.0.338 and the version that you refer to and I update them every day - worked fine this morning as well.

I agree with skidrow 20 megs seems unlikely especially when I browse across to another pc and see the files for suniso's release weighing in at around 260 megs.

I can't for the life of it figure out what's wrong. I re-installed and didn't customize anything.

One real odd thing I noticed though, was that when I went in to my firewall's application settings and chose the updater and set it to "ask"(instead of allow/block) for connection. Then I ran the updater but my firewall didn't ask for any connection.

Any insight ? This is kind of bugging the crap out of me.

Isn't the corporate solution still using the same virus database as Norton products? Even if it doesn't Nod32 is much better. Have you thought about that?

Okey dudes... I'm on the verge of chaning my av and I've heard great things about it.

But maybe you could fill me in a bit better. I chose symantec's CE because it was mearly 20mb's in size and had a practical and easy interface, took barely any ram and was free from all that commercial crap the regular norton av had.

So, you think nod32 meets my demands???

It's only 20MB because its only the client version; it has no server abilities. For a home computer, that's all that's needed really. I'm using this LOGiC release now, its fine. And I've not done much with NOD32, but im pretty sure you need a username/password for the monthly updates, and shared ones always die after hours. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
