Welcome to Back to the Future on bath salts.
You don't necessarily have to be a Back to the Future fan to appreciate Rick and Morty, the new half-hour animated series from Community creator Dan Harmon and voice actor Justin Roiland (who worked with Harmon on 2007's Acceptable TV for VH1), but it does help to know what the show is perversely skewering. No, Rick and Morty isn't an out-and-out parody of the movie franchise, but it does shine a hilarious spotlight on how unsavory it actually is when a high school kid is "BFF"s with the town's eccentric tinkerer. Which, as you know, is a relationship that's never fully explained in Back to the Future. Just how did Marty and Doc Brown came to be so close? I'm not insinuating anything wicked, it's just one of those things that the movies never chose to reveal.
first ep out so far, and fully watchable on youtube:
it gave me a few good laughs, not bad at all, it could be a good replacement for futurama (the futurama of years back when it was still good).
definitely alot of potential here.
oh and the mother is voiced by scrubs´sarah chalke
Show is getting better which each episode, the last few eps were great and especially the latest one was insane and funny, the show definitely has some great ideas, good writing and alot more potential. Its my fav new comedy series, after all the ones i have been watching for years are disappointing me more and more.
i agree it's a great show, so refreshing and funny. after watching all eps of this show, i can hardly watch shows like family guy now, they seem so boring and bland.
Agreed, this goes on par with Archer for me. Last episode was insane indeed!
Well, I watched the first two episodes and then the last episode for half of it. This really is one of the worst shows, if not THE worst show I've seen in the last decade. Comparing this with Archer
its just not your thing, i loved archer, but this is much better compared to the last few seasons of archer which have been very lacklustre, with the exception for 1-2 eps per season.
A friend suggested it to be and i was wary at first, but I love the randomness here. Its kinda like a mix between adventure time and archer they even have some of the same voice actors. 1st ep took a some time to get going, but 2nd was better and I expect it to be even better in later ones.
writing is funny. very creative. some lines make you go what what what. but some of the belching, stupidity, and cringeworthyness of the characters bothers me. not really something worth watching. adventure time has more adult humour though. but it lacks in a lot of departments
I only started watching this recently. The first episode was ok but it wasnt as good as the 2nd episode! Robo Snuffles was awesome and Scary Terry bitch! lol
Didnt know the same guy 'Justin Roiland' voices both Rick and Morty
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
