I always had my Razer Diamondback plugged in, and i had forgotten my Logitech G5 which i fucking loved to hell. After some years my razer is disconnecting from a damaged cable i think, so i got my G5, cleaned it and wondered why it was in that box....
Fucking hell now i remember i was gonna go apeshit using it, each time i want to open a link in a new window i click the scroll wheel, most of the times the thing scrolls up or down instantly clicking other links etc....
The G9x I have is starting to act up with the scroll wheel, I've always managed to fix it by gently massaging and pressing it but I'm probably going to have to get a replacement.
(Seems to be a bit of a common problem with these.)
Apparently the G9(x) is going out of production so it'll probably be to a G700 or such then.
(I prefer to use the same vendor for mouse and keyboard, minimizes driver clutter, Logitech Gaming Software has worked fairly well though and was updated just a couple of days ago although I've no idea what was changed.)
Sure it's not the driver of Razer? My Lachesis (spelling?) disconnects once in a blue moon and it's the damn driver conflicting at times (went almost to 0 with the 'newest' driver).
HAH! Fixed, opened it up, used super glue to stop the movement on the scrolling wheel mount, no more crazy scrolling, and i recovered my scroll wheel side clicks. Although the super glue went a bit into the axle of the wheel and now its harder than before, still fixed it
