Saw this movie last week and was positively suprised to see a Horrormovie which is worth watching. I like those Civil War style mixed up with horror elements like"Ravenous"

Here is some info for you:
-------------------------------
DEAD BIRDS takes place in 1863 during the American Civil War. A group of Confederate soldiers hide out in an abandoned plantation after robbing a bank and find themselves at the mercy of supernatural forces.

DEAD BIRDS premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival in September. The film has gotten some solid press; The LA Times calls DEAD BIRDS a "richly imagined, genuinely suspenseful supernatural horror movie". Bloody-Disgusting.com says "Dead Birds is a spooky, complex and brilliantly crafted ghost story". Russ Fischer took the time to do an interview with me AND review the film for CHUD.com. eye Weekly did a piece on this year's Midnight Madness lineup and gave us four stars, calling our movie "The savviest American horror flick since Cabin Fever" (scroll down past the Ghost in the Shell 2 + Zebraman reviews). Cinema Toast gives it 4 dead birds out of 5 and says "Dead Birds is a fantastic horror film".

"Solid acting, at times brilliant camera work, and superb sound design all contribute to make this a truly frightening winner"says The Horror Channel. The folks at Slasherpool.com also gave us a wonderful review, as did Horrorheads.net. Reel Film Reviews calls it "a horror movie that's actually scary". FilmStew.com talks about the audience reaction and features interviews with Patrick Fugit and Isaiah Washington. The film was also singled out as one of the "Best of the Toronto Fest" in this article. And Pam Grady writes on Reel.com that "Turner's debut does what every great horror movie should; give one pause before heading out of the theater into the dark of night". An alarmingly large number of positive reviews have been rolling in recently (along with a few bad ones...). I may compile a separate review page and link to it here at some point soon.
