Apparently, it's become socially acceptable when you're invited to dinner to bring, in addition to wine/gift, your kids.
It seems that people have begun to treat social gatherings as a dumping ground for their screaming, perpetuum mobile, wrecking crew children. Dinner as a time out, brief escape from their self made prisons.
They do this without any regard for other people including the host. They release their genetic biohazard material shaped like kids upon the apartment and completely rely on the rest of the guests to police these aberations.

I just say on the invitations I send: single persona or single plus one.. 
on a side note: it's funny to invite people that I know can't come because nobody can take care of their kids

Sometimes I actually like to play with other people's kids at these parties. xD I mean, it's not that there are nice ladies to flirt with most of the times anyway 
If they bring a ball to play football I start doing the Ibra and troll them till they cry

You kinda missed the point of my rant. I have no problem with the kids. But if I invite people over for dinner/booze/fucking around, it really should go without saying that I don't want them bringing their kids here. Especially since I have to follow them around most of the time, making sure they don't break stuff, put their fingers into sockets or run head first into a edge of a table.
Get a fucking babysitter. I'm not a daycare center.

that's exactly your hidden "package" in this deal.
by inviting them to dinner you're expecting them to find a babysitter.
I don't have kids but I'm guessing it's not such an easy thing to do to find a stranger, leave him with your kids in your house.
That's a pickle. I don't know what I would do, probably leave my kids with my mother or something.

Yeah, I getthat argument. But it doesn't make it my problem. And even if they DO bring kids, they're still supposed to be under their own parents supervision. But since it's not their apartment it's fine if the kid grabs a copy of A Dance With Dragons from my desk and leaves chocolate covered prints all over the cover.
Or the cute way they broke the guitar pic I got from Steve Vai when he had a concert here in 2005.
Or the fun way they mashed the mouse button I could hear it cry.
The only redeemable thing from yesterday is when they used their nerf gun to shot the neighboors dog from my balcony. That was funny.

Even as a parent that annoys the fuck out of me. It says more about your friends though if they just let their kids run rampage.

it's the most interesting thing you can do as a single guy at these couples' diners, you can't provide anything to the conversation anyways, since they talk mostly about their kids and other home-related things, and they don't fucking care about your dating problems/party stories.
