Stuff like that usually don't work with me. I always have to force myself to sleep, and most of the times it works :/

Read a book, but not from ipad, since the artificial light will distract your brain. Good old book usually works with me Very Happy

That's actually counterproductive, you should at least stop 'screen' time an hour before you go to bed. So that means especially no: ipadding, cellphoning in bed. Smile

I guess those pills worked Razz damn neighbor woke me up with her fucking vacuum cleaning.. She did that yesterday FFS sit down for once and relax instead of compulsively doing something.

The Ipad's light is dimmed down pretty much, so i doubt the screen light is causing much harm.

Sometimes I have to take sleeping aids. Zzzzquill makes me feel kind of funny but puts mt to sleep, and keeps me asleep.

I don't really feel the effect of it, don't even know if they work. Placebo can also be a great thing Razz I did take twice the amount that was recommended for an adult though. I'm a big guy, and surely need a bit more to get the same effect.

just stop taking power naps if you do, and go to sleep at regular hours
even if you don't fall asleep, stay still with eyes closed in bed until morning - your body will feel relaxed
on the 2-nd or 3-rd time you will fall asleep
also pickup a book on quantum mechanics Laughing

This is generally advised NOT to do. If you can't fall asleep you should get up and do something non stimulating for a while and try again. I however try for a few hours to sleep and i get up and say fuck it.

I feel your pain, I often go two to three nights without a wink of sleep and when I do sleep its in short bursts of about 20 mins with continuous waking. A good nights sleep for me is 3-4 hours. Last time i slept through the night was in my teens Smile

well, for me it's not really a issue. I think it has to do with this fucking appartment. Only time you can count on solid 6 hours sleep is if you go to bed as 12. Guys above makes a lot of noise in the morning and one of them is always home (weird and separate working hours) and they bring grandkids when they get home. So if i screw up and can't sleep during the night, i'm really fucked and i feel worn out from a few days of this.

Exactly. The light from screens is white blueish and it somehow disturbs sleep. Get a nice warm lamp (yellow) and read a paper book in bed. You can also install f.lux to change your screens to a warmer colour temp., but it's still better not to use them right before bedtime.

Well it works for me.
If I try to watch movies, I can go on till morning without feeling sleepy..
Even the next day I don't feel tired, but my body starts to not function properly - bruised easily, can't manage temp - always feel cold, etc.

So I just lay still in bed, and imagine things, until the sun starts shining through the windows. Very Happy

But books are expensive and i'm flat broke Sad I am content with dimming the lights on the Ipad, i don't feel my eyes are strained then.
