You played them all? I find it hard to believe. Play some old games then.

I dunno I think if you played thru 'all' the games, you haven't played them all, just played one type of games If all you play is turn it on 30 hours later its done, you will run out fast.
There is a lot of games that isn't a 'start-->finish' types. RTS games, sim games, racing games, strategy games, combat games..etc. But since they aren't your type, it narrowed down the choices of a longterm game a lot.
My favorite type of games are the ones without a story, that have no linear gameplay that you 'beat'. Like im still playing forged alliance with friends, arma3 MP, simcity4 and the new one, prison architect, civ 5, 3-4 hours on saturday with a friend on rfactor, even some RCT 3 a few hours each week..etc

I'm the other way around, I love a good story/atmosphere in a game.
But Yeah, that's a good advice. I just have to be less picky and play games I didn't play.
Either way i'm staying away from RTS because i just hate them. The only RTS I liked was CoH.
that gave me an idea to buy : a racing wheel, a joystick and play some car/plane simulators

There must be some hidden gem that you missed in all these years, some niche RPG or brilliant indie game that somehow escaped from your radar. It's inevitable. If there aren't any, then colour me very impressed.
edit:
What about mods? Stuff like The Dark Mod (basically Thief 1 redone, with tons of custom maps), the huge Nehrim for Oblivion, The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex (just as good as the main game), Black mesa (no explanation needed), the brutal Misery for CoP, Underhell, Cry of Fear and many others.
