With all the hate on North American Gun laws, gun owners, guns and shootings, I find it is a good time to post up my other recent purchases.... Im not sure where my other thread went... did i delete it?

20 mags? Is that so if someone tries to rob you you can be fairly confident that after putting 20 mags worth of rounds in him he wont be getting back up?
Spoiler:
I'm just kidding, but it does seem crazy to me that someone can have so many guns and so much ammo and stuff.

different mind set eh, its like all those shells stacked up is no different to him than me in the uk having a stack of oasis drinks. There is over 450 cartridges stacked up btw christ..

technically...... 1500 shells.... then 200 slugs... and 200 00bucks...
I also have thousands of rounds of a mix between .38, 357, 9mm, 40cal
and two big military surplus boxes of 7.62 and 5.56 rounds..1600 rounds each.
Its not about having so much.... its a matter of economy... buying in huge bulk deals means hundreds and hundreds in savings... buying 50 round boxes would be INSANELY expensive here... Americans are buying EVERY SINGLE ROUND produced so prices of bullets have doubled in last 6 years or so... my one buddy literally buys 20k rounds at a time... sells em a year later...
and as for mags? its one of those deals again... cheaper to buy in 10 packs than to buy one by one... and when zombies come, you wanna have mags.... cause its super practical to carry 20 full mags around at all times lol
regardless, we have 5 rounds per mag limit... so thats 100 rounds total between 20 mags lol fucknig retarded.

I don't mind as long as it's for sport and you're in a shooting club with contests on targets. Beyond that it's mindblowingly insane(in my subjective opinion) to keep an arsenal like that at home. That's enough to keep a small platoon going for a week.
Now imagine someone with the same kind of arsenal and combine that with suddenly falling into a psychosis (not unusual).
And we have these mass-shootings going on repeatedly since weapons and ammo are so easy to get at even without permits and stuff in the US (ie. the black market).
I looked up a pistol shooting club in my area since I shot with professional air rifles when I was a kid and shot mauser and "short-distance" (probably .22 rounds) and figured I might take up target shooting again. But the price just to join the club was prohibitive, then the yearly fee was ridiculous. On the other hand, since you can't buy a weapon until you've been a member of a club that is part of the national sport shooting organisation for 6 months (you have to start with a .22 I think) then after passing various tests incl. psychological, taken part of club activity etc. you can apply to the police authorities for a permit for higher caliber guns. You have to buy one of the approved safes and keep it there at all times until you drive to the range and as soon as you've cleaned it put it back in the safe.
Pity though, they used to have a rifle (incl. pro air-rifle) club here once. Seems gun sports have taken over.
We have similar rules here. You take an initial safety course first for hunting guns.... Then one for hand guns and "restricted" weapons like all military rifles or scary looking guns... With those done u get a license which let's u buy hunting guns, for which u need a safe at home with trigger locks on each gun, ammo locked separately in their own safe blabla
If u wanna buy hand gun or restricted then u need to be a member of a range first and every single time u buy it u go through a background check. U cannot transport restricted weapons anywhere except directly to ur approved range and directly back home to lock it up. (u need another course and 4 different mini test shoots at ur range to get the permit that let's u get an "authorization to transport" ur guns first). Absolutely no full auto weapons are allowed to be owned unless ur a collector and even then u can't take it anywhere or fire it, even at the range. Our hand gun mags are limited to 10 and long guns limited to 5!
As per cost, Hmmm well the guns are costly, ammo very costly and if u want an indoor range within city limits its around 750 bux a year... My range is an hour or of town and is outdoors, 170 a year, regular 240 but we have police discount which also allows us to rapid fire and wear holster ans use of the tactical range (where u can walk up to the targets)
I for one wish I could legally own a mossberg 590 or a remmy 870...
No you don't. Remington is by far one of the most garbage manufacturers now. Good luck buying a gun from them now that doesn't jam or is complete shit. They are a mass producer and build their guns in a matter of seconds.
With something that is that dangerous and can harm someone. They sure don't spend a lot of time checking anything. Which is why you can get everything so cheap.
VS if you buy my favorite brand, Benelli..they spend all day on one shotgun

watching the video does not indicate what you stated btw, with them mentioning checks on every part of the manufacturing procedure with 10% build and 90% checks see to be the opposite of what you said squirrel I am pretty sure Remington have beem making them longer than you been firing them as well
Don't like firearms? Don't use them or buy them. Simple as that.

Making them longer than I've been firing doesn't mean anything. They "say" checks because they're doing an interview. Of course they're going to say that.
Spend enough time around them and you'll see how bad their quality is. Granted if you're buying their guns that cost an arm and a leg they'll be hand building those and checking every inch.
Also I just realized I posted the wrong video, that's for their 700 gun line. They had one with their 870's being built but I can't find that video. The 870 one they were bragging about how they could get a gun built on their assembly line in less than a minute.

One MAJOR difference here is that military weapons are utterly impossible to get a license for. You can get license for shotguns and various hunting rifles after you take a "Hunters Degree" certificate and sportsman license for certain handguns. Military stuff? Not in a million years. And I prefer it that way.
It depends man, calling it military just cause it looks different? We can't have "military" weapons either.... No 30 round mags or full auto... So it comes down to looks which is dumb... I can kill you with a hunting rifle or shotgun just easily.
Case in point, ruger 10/22....cheap super famous semi auto boring looking rifle... Perfectly legal.... Then u just buy a new stock for it off ebay and boom! U have a "scary" looking innocent person killing death machine! Makes no sense.
well I train alot for work with my handguns.. Im left handed with cross eye dominance so im truly fucked in terms of having guns and training apply to me, so I need to do much more training... to be fair though 85 percent of our force doesn't really put anytime at the range beside the mandatory twice a year short sessions anyway... so with the handguns I do drills, quick reloads, IPSC competitions, House clearing and all that... Im new to them but my buddies from the army and our swat are taking me through it all... never hurts to be better trained so your muscle memory takes over when I'm facing a serious situation... As of next year I'll be hunting so the long gun with the scope is mostly for that, get acquainted with scopes, cold shots, range estimation, follow up shots and all that...
If I can fix my legs and get my stamina up and have finished my degree by then, I would like to apply to our Swat team... physical testing for them is insane
and practical application for the UTS? none... I could say "home defense" but If I can't defend myself with the arsenal I have now (I couldn't anyway, I would have to get up, find my keys, open my safe, get the right gun case out, unlock that gun case, find the key for the gun lock, unlock the gun, find the right ammo box, unlock the ammo box, load the gun, then fire, I'd be dead LONG before I get any loaded) then I'm pretty useless anyway. so basically it comes down to it being an insanely new concept which is cool and you wanna have it... that is all... zero practicality, sense, logic or anything... its a hobby, an expensive one... Im lucky it SORT of at least might one day help me in my line of work should I ever take out my hand gun or shotgun at work.
And I'm sure for hunting to can get any long gun, you should even be able to get 50 cal...we can get them here... even a 338 would be a massive round and it is used for hunting too. 22 is a very good platform to start man, don't knock it... it trains you to aim and shoot well! you wont be scared or be anticipating the recoil so your form will get well from the start... once you master shooting fundamentals and learn to use a scope you can move on up!
and 22 LR supersonic or Mag would kill alot of things upto and including deer my friend, has a lot more to do with your shot placement than your round.
