Yeah they're banning smoking in pubs here soon. I think it's a bullshit law but it will get a load of people to stop smoking. I often think about stopping but when you're on the piss it's almost impossible not to have a cig.

lets all agree that its good that smoking is illegal in bars and clubs, i remember i use to go to clubs and come back smelling like smokes and booze, it was sick.

I think it will take all atmosphere out of boozers. In Ireland where they've had this law everyone stands outside because the smokers stand outside to smoke and their mates just go with them.

I don't mind smoking bans in bars/restaurants. In the summer it doesn't matter because of patios (which you're on anyways). And throw the ciggies away? Damn, they're too friggin' expensive ... paid $8 for a 20 pack.

I hate people smoking, not just in the pubs, but everywhere. Bus stops, the school, restaurants, markets, neighbours. That poisoned air is everywhere. Just ban it totally. It kills people in masses every year. It's already enough with all the fossilised fuel pestering the air. The worst part of all is the passive part where everyone nearby gets to inhale the crap. SO NO MORE SMOKING PLEASE!

Ditto, but the way i see it is if they want to stink of cigs and have breath that puts even cavemen off kissing them and want to die quicker than the rest of us I say let them, it just means i can laugh at them when they are 6ft under. |
Yes, I don't care if they get lung cancer and die a horrible death. But those people are probably gonna influence my kids when they start school. Some of them have also been under a lot of pressure to start smoking and later on they just can't stop. It's all because of the damn market and the money.
People smoke -> Money to the tobacco companies
People use nicotine drugs and operate the cancer -> Money to the hospitals and drug companies
No smoking and no medications+operations = no money
Same shit with oil.

I've been trying to quit for like 5 years (out of 25). Give me a couple drinks and I forget about it. Now I'm stuck with a brand new pack of cigarettes that needs to be smoked ....
It's best to quit from one day to another.
