Well in the Snyderverse he is a former British spy or some such. Bruce was raised by his very own James Bond, and if I'm not mistaken I recall reading somewhere that Alfie actually trained Brucie to some degree.

With Affleck rumored to be returning for just 1 final film, it makes sense they want to develop some other Bat-character to replace him.

He's a former SAS soldier on the show "Gotham".
