So what ISP is currently the best to get?
A friend of mine is going to live in Elmpt for 3 years with his army unit.
He wants to get proper internet that he can use there.
Since i have no clue about the current ISP's over there, i would love to get some advice on what he can get there and what would be best.

Ah, Liberty Global (aka UPC here) in Germany.
So they should be good indeed if they are the same with stuff as here.
Hopefully he can get that, because AFAIK, the building he's going to stay in, is army property..

Well generally uinitymedia is avialable in emlpt but if the building he is in has no cable setup, it'll cost an initial 300 euro to setup the cable box etc.
If not he'll just have to pay 29€ a month for phone (flatrate for land line calls), hd tv (he can order more channels) and internet (50/5mbit).
Or he can just pay 23€ but won't have a phone and tv receiver etc..

Well money is no issue for him, he's getting about €2.000,- a month without having any expenses.
