Other than Settlers or Anno series, is there a better game that you can actually see the villagers/settlers gather wood, cut the wood and transport resources and make items from the resources etc?

I've always like those type of games with that kind of detail where you can watch the villagers/settlers perform their tasks. Was wondering if there was a better game that had that kind of attention to detail that I might have missed.

Wait a few weeks and Banished will come out.

The Guild 2 might worth a look. Not exactly a strategy game, more of a dynasty/city-politics kind of deal, but each character does go about their business.

The Tropico games are also like this, but that's not really about building a village.

Well...one might say Dwarf Fortress also fits... Poker Face

Caesar IV or Cultures II maybe? Anno is the best of all though.

I started playing Evil Genius yesterday. Never played it before and i can't believe i missed this gem.

I think you can add it to the Village type game genre.

Also perfectly playable with the GOG release with some fixes for widescreen.

Empty again Sad
