you need the SDK that came with HL2, dunno if it came with anything else though.
I forget what they actually called it, I Think the thing you downloaded was called the "base files" or some shit |

Like with zombie panic you should only need one installed source game (not free... for example day of defeat source)..
Lets see how this game plays, the guy did some content for zombie panic too... which is totally awesome

Since it's a multiplayer mod it's useless without other players, so does it have any people online?

It's shallow and straight forward.. feels like a futuristic counter-strike with a stealth element..
However, it's extremely polished for a first release. Worth a go if you're into fast paced shooters.

Impressive...and boring.
The mod is well made but it seems to suffer from a problem plaguing every source based FPS I've played - weapons aren't fun to shoot. They all feel weak as hell and lack that "oomph". Feels like shooting a BB gun.
I'll stick with Insurgency that suffers from the same problem but is a lot of fun.

Game is really hard(But I don't play that many FPSs). I get shot down before I even get to use one clip! I celebrate every kill. Cloak ability feels useless as the enemy via vision modes always knows were you are.
