Crappy screenshots on their site - no characters/combat etc. on any of them.

If you're gonna try it, please post a mini-review or something, I won't bother since the chances of it being crap are pretty high. Laughing

Edit: GT has a '07 E3 trailer... http://www.gametrailers.com/player/22350.html = auto-skip.

russian version got relased about a year ago i think.
played the german version some weeks ago, and it sucks.
it just feels like a very poor mix of silent storm and jagged alliance.

If you like tactical games, is a good game, insipidous story though.

PS. Wait!, is high calibre? i think that is the expansion... is crap.

it got a couple bad reviews: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/762highcalibre?q=7.62
seems to be some complaints about the camera.
honestly the silent storm camera sucked a little when it first came out, but there was a mod for it that made it much better.

Tried it a bit, and it's an ok game. Combat is brilliant (probably as good as tactical combat can be in realtime but the same was true of E5 I heard) while the bits inbetween are decent (multiple ways to complete some quests, etc.) but with sub-par writing. It's all a bit bogged down by bad (not horrible, just bad) camera outside of combat and a tendency for the game to throw you back to desktop with some stupid error message. If you feel you would be patient with the latter two issues you could give the game a try, at least if you like tactical squadbased games with lots of weapon choices.

There's a bug in the game that somehow corrupts the UI files. When this has started occuring you're pretty much fucked and have to reinstall the game. However, if you make the whole game directory except for the save directory read-only this bug won't happen again. Also, a dude named R@S 22 made some minor bugfixes and made the cars upgradeable to be a bit more resilient. The fixes can be found here.

Yes I own it on steam and yes there is a community patch and blue sun mod option under the betas section in the properties of the game.

I like those kind of games, but that "enhanced version" is like 10 years to late.

They were working on a Jagged Alliance sequel for a while IIRC, but then it got abandoned by the producer. Shame they never did a great game with that SS engine at the time. In the hands of some Western producers and with a bigger budget, there could have been something.
