Not sure how many people caught wind of this during the steam sale, but there is a Brazilian site which sometimes has sales and decent prices, even on steamworks titles. thought I'd toss up a topic on it to get the word out a little more:
http://www.nuuvem.com.br/

It's pretty straightforward to buy from and if you get a steamworks title, you'll get the key right away and no problems activating. Conversion wise it's about 50%.
For example steamworks title Dead Island is 66% off
http://www.nuuvem.com.br/produto/173-dead-island
for R$29.99, which is around $15 USD.

https://www.nuuvem.com.br/produtos?promo=1

promo list is there.
One thing I notice is that their titles seem to be slightly cheaper than steams. Hitman for example is about $40 there vs $44 on steam.

Ever since that was moved to a sticky I completely lost touch with it. I found it during the steam sale, they had jagged alliance really cheap on Nuuvem, like $7 or something.

This.
ATM I think that their paypal option is still offline though Sad

Oh and watch out cause it seems that Dead Island might have some region locking BS.

Are you sure? At least during Steam sale, it wasn't, because I bought JA:BA with paypal.

Paypal was working 10 days ago when I bought Dead Space there. I don't know if it's disabled right now though.

Yep, it was disabled a while back while I was stalking the site waiting to see their dawnguard price () and it still seems to be:

Paypal option was supposed to be above or below that one.
Unless it's some type of regional blocking? Confused

Ok, I checked and effectively there's no paypal available as method of payment. I also verified the date of my Dead Space purchase and it was actually 15 days ago (Aug 3th) and I used paypal then.

Is anyone having issues logging in to the site? When I go there and hit the login button it just gives me some 404 page.

ah-ha Thanks. Okay that seemed to do it.

If they are going to be fine with people using VPNs they should just put a check box on the page that people can check that says "Oh yes, I'm really in Brazil *wink* *nod*"

Very Happy

Right now using Hola is a gamble because it doesn´t work for every country. Most of the cases I´m using it, I place the order WITH Hola and as soon as the paypal page appears I turn it of because I don´t trust them. At least for nuuvem this works.

Looks like there is a sale now but their new site sucks and shows you deals based on your locations, doesn't say anything about region locks or DRM in some cases Sad

I find it much better, what is wrong with it? It has a clean design, loads way faster and iis at least somewhat in English.

Also at left-side it says Steam/other DRM if applicable, cannot be easier Confused

for example http://www.nuuvem.com/item/evolve
http://www.nuuvem.com/item/cities-skylines

"unavailable" even though it is on sale there atm and no info about DRM or locks.

So Brazilian economy is following Greece's as Nuuvem has restricted those prices.
