Came in from work today and booted up my PC (PC was turned off, not on sleep or anything) all I got were 3 beeps. I can't remember what the sequence was, 1 short two long etc. Anyway the PC seemed to boot but there was no signal to the monitor.

After unplugging everything from the back of the pc and plugging it all back in (all USB's in the same place they were before) it seems OK now.

Anyone have any idea what it could be? I assume the most likely candidate is the graphic card.

Any ideas? Or anything I can do to test the components? Or just any other helpful advice?

Thanks

1 long, 2 short, indicates a video initialization error, remove graphics card and reseat. Check video cable for loose connection, at both the card and monitor. While your inside of the case, remove RAM sticks, and reseat.

Monitor condition for a few days.

Thanks, perhaps the HDMI cable had been pulled out slightly, although I can't see how as I have not moved the pc at all.

Heres hoping it's not going to happen again.

Cheers for the advice
