FOR YOUR INFORMATION - the news about e4 continuing point pleasant is incorrect. I rang channel4 yesterday and they said because of downloading material like bittorrent, FOX will not broadcast anymore episodes but hope to eventually sell aDVD boxset which everyone can buy 'hopefully' gaining some money out of it! E4 however still remains optomistic not to cancel it like every other channels as the UK had the most viewers and hyped it the most putting it at 9pm on Wednesday's. Its true the chances ARE slim and the only way is complaining to FOX international.

I just found this statement on tvtome, now i know it's not he best source, but blaming the internet for low ratings on this less than mediocre show is redicilous (but sounds like FOX). They think everyone who gets a tvrip is a lost viewer, like they air their shows on every network on the planet. And what about this dvd set, they seem to think that this will not be released? They must be dreaming. (it was posted april 1st, maybe it was a joke Confused )

The internet is not the reason why the show is being cancelled. The show isn't that great to begin with. If it weren't for the half naked girls running in bikini's it would have been cancelled sooner. Plus the story is just advancing to slowly.

rofl.

90% of the shows never come on tele here, or with 3 seasons delay.

Btw i know tvtome, i even have an account there, but if i didnt leech the shows, what should i vote for?

rerun of
frsh prince of belair ?
friends season 2 ?
simpson season3 ?

because thats what we get atm.

If you make shit shows they get low ratings. They should be happy that someone leeches it and watches it, bigger audience.

it's about watching it on tv, so they can show the commercials and get money. the more people watch a show on tv, the more they can get from the industrie for commercial airplay.

yes toeffy, but the problem for europeans is that most shows don't make it on tv here. It's even worse in Germany as you know that all shows are translated and air at least one season later. And instead of whining about the internet they should offer some legal downloads. I would be willing to pay for some shows if i could download them in 720p or 1080i quality. But of course the only 720p releases come from the scene so far.

i thought they made their money from sponsor's?
I mean, the average sitcom is only 21-22 minutes, the rest is commercials.....i guess they dont like ppl recording shit to vcr's when their out and they miss the show. or what about dvr's? Any show i watch (if i watch tv at all), i record first, then fast forward all the commercials anyhow...wouldnt that mean they're losing even more money?

+ Fox is a trashy ass network anyway...very biased when it comes to politics and religion
Watch they're news coverage and u'll see what i mean Smile

I don't have a tv, so it's the only way i can watch the tv shows i want.
Plus, they tend to get released late, in the uk, or very very late, back home in Spain.
Also the fact that they are ad free is a big plus, if i ever buy a tv again, definetely gonna get a tivo or similar, watch stuff once it's been aired so i don't have to watch ads.

jesus, captain, they're SS
