Piece of shit.

This drive I have has my Dark Souls 2 saves on it. I bought an adapter so I could take them off but it loads up and switches off. I'm guessing that there's too much power going from the USB port into the shitty adapter and it just can't take it. It gets so hot that I can barely touch it.

It did work for around 20 seconds, I could see the directories. Now it refuses to show anything, even though I can see it as a storage drive in device manager.

Is there a way to get around this? Perhaps limiting the power it can draw?

I have tried 2 laptops and my desktop PC

Drive

Adapter

God dammit.

Would have been better using an msata to sata adapter, ruling out the need for dodgy usb power loads...
