I've only seen the first two episodes so far, but I'm liking this. A lot. I really do think the producers, and actors, show a great amount of love and devotion to the source material and have made it rather unique.

Finished the season and that was, hands down, one of... no.. fuck it, THE, greatest videogame adaptations I have ever seen. Outfuckingstanding! I cannot wait for Season 2 and, since Capcom commissioned this, I hope it becomes pure canon. The Gouki/Akuma stuff was fantastic and it's awesome to see his backstory fleshed out - and seeing the growth from "Alpha" Ken/Ryu to "World Warrior" Ken/Ryu was incredible! \o/
Fight scenes were awesome, the special effects were *far* better than the pilot/teaser, and the characters were perfect. This was just the first Machinima edition, the full 2 hour DVD/Bluray is coming out after the syndicated TV movie. It was obviously insanely popular, people praising it all over the place, so I'm looking forward to more

Sequel series confirmed and, yes, it's World Warrior

Live-action series Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist is getting a sequel, the production team announced at San Diego Comic-Con today. The follow up, Street Fighter: World Warrior, will introduce the series' main antagonist, the criminal organization Shadaloo led by M. Bison.
While Assassin's Fist focused mainly on Street Fighter mainstays Ken, Ryu and their master Gouken, World Warrior will introduce characters like Guile, Chun-li and Sagat. Director Joey Ansah and the rest of the series' creators will return for the sequel series.
Street Fighter: World Warrior is scheduled to arrive in late 2015 or early 2016.

Also, digital download and DVD/BR copies of Assassin's Fist are coming out in October.

It is done, like all live action offsprings, to evoke your memories from the game, rather than be stand alone. A bunch of guys that have played a game and go "wouldn't it be cool if...". No, it wouldn't! Crap is not just cheaply made. Here actors are crap, dialog is ridiculous. Crap
