Heavy Gear Assault can be fully enjoyed without ever needing to purchase anything. What we are offering is a new way of doing business. The best part is that our players are in the driver seat and can freely choose to pay or not with no consequences to their enjoyment of Heavy Gear Assault. Of course, there will be upgrades and items that can be purchased, but nothing will be available that will break the balance of the game.”

If they want people to pledge maybe they should have a funding goal instead of just a bunch of reward tiers. Probably would have better luck doing it on Kickstarter.

Yeah, they always say the game can be enjoyed without ever needing to purchase anything, we guarantee you that! and yet when you play you systematically get raped by uber-powerful-super-skilled opponents that make you feel like a little gnome among giants. Razz

Stompy Bot Productions has released an E3 trailer for Heavy Gear Assault, showcasing the in-game visuals that will be powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 4. Heavy Gear Assault has a Kickstarter campaign in order to get funded and aims to raise $800K. There are still 21 days left to it, and the campaign has only raised $41K this far. From the looks of it, this Kickstarter campaign may fail so spread the word if you’re fans of mech titles.

You can also get the (full or EA only?) game for free on release, if you add your email here:

@Drowning_witch

I put some of my emails in there too. Let's see.
Not really a fan of that multiplayer only game, as i would much more prefer a nice singleplayer mech experience.

not very difficult at all, the asset quality is what makes a game look good, not just the engine.

slap ut 99 textures on a u4 game, and it will look poop Very Happy

in this case though, it seems intended, as if they are going for the pre shader era clean and pristine look that games had. the texture work certainly looks like 90's stuff.

Tried 10m of the invite beta, was a horrid mess of a 'game'. How they feel they can charge 34.99 for the EA version baffles me
