The third Star Wars Battlefront—just called Star Wars Battlefront—will be out on November 17 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. It’ll take place during the original film trilogy and let people play as iconic characters like Boba Fett and Darth Vader, according to an AP report. It’ll also let you go to a planet from The Force Awakens — before that new movie is even out.
It is a goddamn shame that this game has the consoles as the leadplatform. That can only be the reason for that 20vs.20 stuff. Doesnt make sense to not at least include a regular 32 vs. 32 or even more 48 vs. 48 mode. Its a shame
Played with a buddy for a few hours. Too much spamfest for me... never been a big fan of open shooters though, so ymmv. Graphics are excellent though and the sound effects are awesome.
Gonna pick this one up for sure. Played it last night and had a blast! Its like being in one of the movies lol. I really like the minor single player implementation too. Battling against the waves of AI was hella fun! Its just a real shame the game will be multiplayer only other than that. Seems a waste that there is no campaign/story to speak of
Played for a while, and I've gotta say, it is a fun, if somewhat simple game I like the atmosphere, the blaster shots and explosions are spot on. It's like headshot said - the movies can be felt all over it. And it does give you a rush when you manage to take or defend a pod against several players
Played about 3 hours. Of course I knew what to expect as I played the Beta but the game is frickin awesome. Im pretty crap at it but its all about playing the game to rank up and unlock the weapons but Im having a helluva blast! There are plenty of awesome game modes including the X-Wing/Tie Fight dogfights which are pretty epic fun. Its just a shame they didnt add any campaign/story mode but there is a surprising amount of solo tutorial, training and skirmish missions. I took a video of the rather cool title screen. Im thinking it loops after so long but the scenes could be random. Take a look
Game is uberboring. I knew it from the beta but still purchased out of respect to my fav universe and will still go pew pew once in a month because it's an amazing virtual museum and great homage to the series.
