Does our govenment ever learn the more they squeel about 51 to life more people will want to buy it, this happened before if you all remember the fuss our government made out of gta, look how popular gTa became because of it.

I don't think you understand politicians. Let me help you:
They don't care about the game, how many copies it sells, or even if someone actually does play it and then goes and kills some people (however ridiculous the very idea of that is).
They care about votes and convincing parents that they are "looking out for the children" as well as gaining support with various police organizations. Parent group & cop group lobbyists > game industry lobbyists, and that's all that matters. As long as guys like Chuck Schumer are all talk and no action about these games, I'm sure the game industry thanks them for the free advertising anyway.
Games are a safe target to criticize; it saves them from doing their jobs and having to talk about tougher issues which might actually require some thinking and possibly even committing to a position which is unpopular with some of their consitituents.

goverment makes me mad somtimes, they are the reason why THrill kill was cancelled...isnt it illegal for the govement under the contsition to pressure vendors/stores to not carry certain goods?
