From the legendary creator Keiji Inafune and the makers of Metroid Prime comes “ReCore”, an action-adventure masterfully crafted for a new generation. As one of the last remaining humans on a planet controlled by robotic foes bent on your destruction, you must forge friendships with a courageous group of robot companions, each with unique abilities and powers. Lead this band of unlikely heroes on an epic adventure through a mysterious, dynamic world. You can’t save mankind alone.
You are Joule Adams, a young survivor of a terrible cataclysm who journeys from Earth to the desert world, “Far Eden” to build mankind’s new home. But when Joule wakes after centuries in cryo-sleep, nothing has gone according to plan… With her “Corebot” companion, Mack, Joule begins an adventure to unlock secrets from the past, defeat powerful foes, and bring new life and hope to Far Eden.
The Far Eden colony was meant to be a paradise, where humans and Corebots could build a future together. Now, however, most of the Corebots have gone rogue, and the planet is plagued by violent sandstorms. In some areas these storms come and go, altering the terrain and revealing new areas to explore and new challenges to overcome.
Combat in ReCore is fun and accessible, but also deep. Defeat your enemies—including massive boss creatures—with creative tactics, split-second timing, and by unleashing your Corebots’ unique abilities. Craft components to customize your Corebots to create your perfect battle party, and then share your creations with other gamers online.
Features:
* Experience a new masterpiece from Keiji Inafune and the makers of Metroid Prime
* Build your perfect battle party by collecting and customizing Corebots companions
* Lead your Corebots into battle against dangerous robotic foes, including devious bosses
* Explore a dynamic world in a single-player campaign where sandstorms come and go, revealing new adventures
* Xbox One Console Exclusive
This is on my to buy list and I was pretty impressed after having seen the first video last year but since the annoucement of the reduced retail price, Ive been sceptical.
So far the game is really good and I'm glad I got to play it.
Graphically speaking it looks really so-so almost like a x360 game but gameplay is really original and is what I expect from a game by metroid dev, it does indeed feel like a Nintendo game.
It is also similar to the latest ratchet and clank game on ps4.
Reviews are bad, but people who are playing it seem to like it like cyclone does. From what I read it's only an 8 hour game but sometimes that can be acceptable. I'm planning on getting it soon....er or later.
played it on my friends console ... and the biggest disappointment where :
Graphics look sub par ... like you would play a xbox360 title in sub 720p
Load times are horrible ... from 3 to 7 min ... and when you die its 9 to 10 min
horrible pop in with object and textures ... and the frame rate geezz from 10 fps to 15 ... sometimes its just still pictures thats how bad it was ...
but when you get pass those ... its a metroid game that has style and it has this something that makes you finish it ... at lest the PC version will be 20x better
I paid $26 for this and $26 for Uncharted 4, Ebay had a $15 off $60+ purchase the other day.
I like it, well worth $26. But I've only played about an hour and a half. I am after the patch and loading is still kinda long but not like 5+ minutes long.
Played the trial version. Its not actually that bad! Visually it seems more like a 360 game than Xbox One but I like the environments and exploration aspect though. If it drops in price Ill pick it up I think. The whole Metroid-esque gameplay aspect is really appealing and other than the initial game loading to the title screen, I didnt the load times were too bad either.
ReCore will be getting a Definitive Edition release on August 29th this year.
The re-release will apparently feature HDR support, higher resolution textures, a new mission called Eye of Obsidian, and a new corebot called T8NK which was referenced heavily in the base game.
If you don't already own the game, ReCore: Definitive Edition will be available to purchase for £20. However, if you already have the original release, it will automatically upgrade to the Definitive Edition for free. It's also going to be added to to Microsoft's Game Pass during September.
