This show is about Pablo Escobar, with Jose Padilha (of Tropa de Elite fame) directing the show and Wagner Moura as Escobar. Pedro Pascal will be playing DEA agent Javier Pena who participated in the hunt for Escobar.

Wagner Moura, Pedro Pascal and Jose Padilha is potentially an epic cocktail Razz. Back to realistic settings and characters, Tropa-like. I am very interested^^

Why wasn't it his fault? He directed it.

Ugh... welcome to reality Neo, studios overrule directors with a snap of their fingers. Google it, the dude was fucking depressed over how they dumped his ideas and vision. Same shit was with Payback (Mel Gibson).

Sounds great.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

This sounds really interesting with both Padilha and Moura involved Smile Now let's hope it won't get corrupted by hollywoodian crap.

Wow that truck checking by the soldiers is the single most famous anecdotal story about Escobar from back in his beginnings, nice they will be showing that kind of thing, too bad Moura's spanish seems to be awful Laughing especially compared to Cliff Curtis's in Blow, which I found to be very good.

Anyway, looking forward to the premiere Very Happy

Looks so promising. I'll be all over this Very Happy

@4treyu: I'm "lucky" that my Spanish skills are extremely poor (almost nonexistent xD), otherwise that would annoy me a bit Razz

ZeroZeroZero by Roberto Saviano (guy who wrote Gomorra, which was also serialized Razz ) is an excellent book and it touches on Escobar quite a lot.

Escobar is pretty well known? I think I've first heard about him in elementary school.

Anyway, looking forward to plata o plomo Smile
