Quote: | The listing has since been removed, but Amazon has posted some details of a new video game based on the Transformers Franchise. The title of the game is "Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark" and was listed under XBox360, WiiU, Playstation 4 and Nintendo 3DS.
"Product Description
The next installment in the incredible Transformers gaming franchise, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is an exciting action game that is perfect for veteran fans and newcomers. "
We currently do not know whether this is a Transformers: Age Of Extinction tie-in game, War For Cybertron 3 or a new game altogether. |
No PC version in the listing, but we'll see.

Why bring the movie versions of these characters into the game to ruin it, they should have used the Transformers Prime versions for the ones on Earth.

dark spark? DARK. SPARK?
whoever came up with that rhyming title for a game that doesn't want to be a joke in itself, they should be feeling very bad about themselves.
mind you, not as bad as whatever dropkick OKAYED that title...
hark.. is that the dark spark, mark? what a lark to hide it in the park!

I guess it was bound to happen, going to Earth and all... I hope they will keep the interaction with humans to a minimum if there will even be any. So that doesn't look that bad since it's using the same version of Transformers that the previous games created, but... who's actually making this again?! What studio?!

Quote: | 'Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark' will run alongside the new film, Age of Extinction, the representative said, and will be "marrying two different universes, the Tranformers Cybertron universe and the Michael Bay Transformers universe," and players will get to experience characters from both environments.
High Moon Studios, who developed Transformers: War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, is not developing Rise of the Dark Spark. Edge of Reality, who previously worked on the Mass Effect Trilogy and Dragon Age: Origins, are developing Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark |

Huh, what those guys actually made is Loadout. Everything else before that were just different console versions of other devs' games as far as I understand. In any case, Loadout is very well put together, but I don't really like it, can't even say why because I don't know. They're capable of pulling this off. However, I'm not sure how they can handle a singleplayer game and with what huge mark High Moon left on me with Fall of Cybertron, I'm expecting at least that kind of quality. And then there's the other problem... the two universes merged. Can I just ask... WHY?! High Moon managed to recreate the Transformers universe in a really cool way, only for it to now be merged with the Bayformers crap?! Ugh, just fuck off, Activision.

I take it that´s multiplayer gameplay. Doesnt look too bad. At least is similar to fall of cybertron.

Anyone tried it on consoles? is it anywhere near the fall of cybertron?

From various impressions I've gathered around the web it seems like a fun game but nowhere near the quality and level design of Fall Of Cybertron. With GAS and Valiant Hearts on the way I don't think I'll even bother downloading this one here.
