I can see the laptop now, it has a lot of.. blinking lights in fact it can run for 15 min on battery because of 2541 lights installed on the laptop.
Might as well buy an Alienware laptop with that money, sure it leaves a burnt hole on your table from the heat but you can play Crysis on it

For that money I can buy a kickass desktop and a nice laptop for work and for some older games and emulator gaming.

Outside of the super expensive variations most pre-built brand PC computers so far still lag behind a bit compared to properly customizing and building your own.
(Not to mention the often superior components like the power unit and far superior cooling possibilities at lower sound levels.)
EDIT: It's perhaps not quite as simple for many of course.
(Cost wise you can tailor to whatever you want so that's not a problem.)

Part of the problem with this shit is that Razer tried to do what? Compete with the portability of the iPad and iPhone?
I mean people buy consoles not because they go on a bus dragging their xbox, genertaor and a 42 plasma behind them. But because owning a console is cheaper.
And Razer does what? Release a 800usd desktop rig as a laptop for 2800usd.
