Someone actually thinks what is going on in this video is remotely possible? Why would someone kid themselves to such a degree?

Looks like a modern take on laser-tag courses. I welcome this concept back in 10 to 30 years.

Can't have more than 40 players because consoles, it's always because of consoles. This isn't consoles Look at the likes of Star Citizen, now imagine that with the Rift and tactile gloves combined with solid blocks in the world? YES PLEASE!

I am all over this dream <3

I edited the part about Battlefront out because I think a center like this would have its own high end hardware, but still very far-fetched, and there isn't enough sensors to track the "players" movement. If you look at the areas they are in, the tight corridors of this center isn't going to be able to model anything but tiny areas.

Gameplay shows a larger room than what the players in real life are walking in so they'll be restricted by the physical space of the center at all times.

I don't think they're trying to say you'll be playing Skyrim in one of these, but rather it would be smaller examples.. like rooms or corridors Very Happy And no, I don't think the video ("PR promotional material" Very Happy) is accurate, but I'd say it's a nice approximation of what they're trying to do and I certainly hope it pans out.

Its like a bullshot video of modern day video games, basically full of shit from pixel a to pixel z. Luckily we don't have to pre-order anything.

I'm always glad the tech is moving forward but even if its was feasible in the near future it'd be too expensive

I know I will probably be called out for BS and such, but I had this idea since forever.

I envisioned something very similar to what Holo is envisioning, I was thinking about Skyrim-type play RPG in a forest environment, with AR superimposed on real life, so you meet monsters etc and fight them with your virtual weapons, if you die you become ethereal so you see things in like 'ghost' vision, bit like WOW, but which makes sense in the real world, and you can interact wit other players easily.

I would be all over the Void type thing like a rash, and I would love to take part in an up-to-date version of Knightmare Razz

I'd find an suspended exoskeleton as a controller cooler. It could, by providing resistance, even simulate the feeling of lifting heavy objects or going up stairs and all that Very Happy

Gym Simulator 2020!

And it could break your bones, now wouldn't that just be fancy.
