I am sorry for the title, I need to vent and punching a wall is gonna do nothing. But something happened this morning that I simply feel the need to figuratively spill blood. Since I am at this new job, it's gonna take a while until I get paid, and my girlfriend has some issues with receiving her salary. We were down to our last 200 (40 something euros) ron for food and everything else, and we had a single note left, of, you guessed it, 200 ron. So, since we needed some eats and the rest put away for some phone bills, she went out this morning to buy some meat and vegetables so we can eat until we figure out something else or I can borrow some money until I or her get paid. Started getting dressed and whatnot and she said it's cool, she's gonna go alone. She went. And came back after 2 hours sobbing AND BRUISED on her collarbone. Immediately, I raged and asked what happened. She went to a meat store that's a bit further than our street because it's a bit cheaper. Some fucking GIPSY pinned her to the fucking meat display, bruised her and stole her purse and she's shivering and I feel so fucking helpless if I were there that guy would have been fucking displayed there. My fist is bleeding because I punched the fucking wall. Screw the fucking money, that guy assaulted my girl. And the fucking police don't give a shit. FUCK

I'd have understood just taking the money, fuck that, people do desperate things and they are confused when their life is in a hard place, I can ring up a friend or my sister and they'd understand, but why did he need to push her that hard? It was hard, because she's bruised, and she doesn't bruise easy It breaks my heart, I feel so powerless, and I feel exactly like Vincent in that video, plus some rage. You know what's sadder? Tonight she's gonna need to go to her second job and take pics, and be surrounded by drunk, sweaty guys that drool all over her because she HAS to interact with them, she's taking their pics. I'm gonna tag along because her douchebag "boss" didn't understand what she's going through and let her stay home tonight.

Can't imagine all the rage you feel right now, when I feel like killing someone I remember Star Wars and that scene with the Emperor and Luke when he tells him give in to your hate and he says no I won't give you the satisfaction, it calms me down and keeps me away from trouble.

"fortunately" I actually followed her when she took too long and witnessed it and took that shitface by surprise. Fucked him up with his own weapon.
Too many desperate people out there to let a woman walk in poor areas by herself. Fuck feminism in this regard.

Yeah, no shit, had to physically move my ass, leave her alone at home and try to convince her boss let her stay home today. She's freakin' shaken up, I had to call her to open the door since she put all locks on it when I left and we have one of those chains thingies. All the police had to say is that "that's not the first time it happens", well, do your goddamn job and patrol your beat, all you do is sit in your car, sweating like pigs and eating shawarma all day, and most of all, you're sitting in front of a building that's filled with old people and students and new families, yeah, there's a ton of danger into that, someone might drop a spoon at 4 in the afternoon and "disturb the public silence"

What's even sadder is that police is so used to these situations that they either ignore them completely, or consider them "nothing too serious" , when it's in fact something that can scar a person for life and severe countermeasures should be implemented. Our big cities are facing a similar problem right now, and people are angry, a lot (and rightfully so).

I'm not scared, I understand what desperation to put a meal on the table or shoot up some shit does to some people, I am raging because I feel helpless and because the police never does anything and the usual attitude towards petty thievery such as this is so apathetic it makes me sick, supermarkets or stores have cameras that don't record, the police is a force comprised by sweatnecks and lady cops that can do nothing but take a statement.
