Grip Digital, the team behind the sci-fi exploration game The Solus Project, and developer Right Nice Games, have unveiled today 'Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island', a single-player action-platformer gam
Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island is a passionate homage to the 3D platformers of our youth. Go on an action packed adventure, collecting gadgets helping you explore a beautiful paradise and save it from evil.
Following the best traditions of the third-person platformer/action genre, Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island sets two unlikely heroes on an adventure to prevent the villainous CRT from conquering their home and turning it into a wasteland. Skylar was captured by CRT and turned into his most potent weapon - wielding a powerful mechanical arm augmentation - but now, she must become a heroine-against-her-will to defy this destiny that she does not want. Plux, the talkative sidekick that every good action platformer needs to have, will help you on your journey.
Together, they will explore lush beaches, burning volcanoes, freezing mountains and merciless desert, fight an army of CRT’s henchmen, collect powerful upgrades like the magnetic glove and the time orb, and challenging CRT’s plans – and their destinies – before it is too late.
Wield a powerful mechanical arm to cut through the enemy lines
Collect great gadgets like jet pack, magnetic glove and time orb
Rescue the natives from the clutches of the CRT army
The Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island will be available in Q1 2017.

Strange how few of those 3D jump n run games are getting released nowdays.
I remember many years ago there were much more regular releases for that kind.
Or is the genre just dead on PC?

i would say its the same asi in console space , althought it got some small resurgency mainly from crowdfunded and early access projects ... they are just not in the eyes of mainstream ... stuff like this, Unbox,TY remakes, Poi, Ginger, Yooka Laylee or in a way even the Snake pass i a way
That's correct! We've had folks play through in 3 hours, while others take 7 or 8. As it is an indie title, we thought it was better to provide a tight, high-quality experience rather than spread it out so you get a longer mediocre game. Thanks for asking!
Well as long as the quality is high, will be interesting to see the Steam reviews for the game in a couple of hours as more people try it out.
