FOV.
http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1076904&highlight=100#1076904
EDIT: To force AA the normal method for UE3 titles is to rename the EXE to either Bioshock or UT3.exe (Others might work as well.) and then force it via the driver control panel, for NVIDIA the tool nHancer can be used to further adjust and tweak things a bit.
This differs from ingame AA as it samples the entire "frame" instead of individual objects and AA isn't fully compatible with deferred shading under DX9 (Which UE3 uses.) so performance hit will be larger than normal AA would be.
(Especially if using high amounts of AA or methods like alpha/adaptive AA or Edge Detect or similar.)
Same with forcing AF, will look better but samples the entire scenes instead of individual objects but most modern cards can handle this quite well.
EDIT: For Physics the game appears to use CPU based PhysX but it will need the PhysX redist installed, best to have the latest 9.09.418 or what it's called from NVIDIA's website.
(Also needs a recent DirectX redist, just get the August 2009 redist from Microsoft website.) and the VC++ redists, get the 2005 SP1 and 2008 SP1 versions and install them, if required install both 32 and 64 bit versions as 64-bit won't work on 32-bit apps and 32-bit won't work on 64-bit apps, assuming you use a x64 capable OS.
EDIT: In WillInput.ini changing Consolekey= to ConsoleKey=Tilde will enable the console input but most commands (All?) appear to be converted to normal chat output.
(Glottis posted a command on how to disable voice chat by the way, VoiceInput=False from VoiceInput=True or something.)
Also this isn't really recommended as it's not related to VSync but the frame smoothing effect can be disabled as well in WillEngine.ini (bSmoothSOMETHING=True to =False, will limit FPS between 22 to 62 but far smoother and less stuttering, Vsync is a separate setting in the same INI and can be disabled or enabled as required, can also set AF and AA modes here albeit AA won't work as per above limitaitons about DX9 and deferred shading.)

actually i think it uses gpu physics if it uses any at all
if u have set the visual indicator on in nvidia control panel and set bDisablePhysXHardwareSupport to false it says physx GPU when u start the game
this may be just something left over from the ut engine
if it was CPU based it would say physx cpu
unfortunatly fraps dosent show it on a screen shot or movie

Maybe somebody can shed some light on this for me.
After I forwarded all those freaking ports Gamespy Arcade so desperately needs, everytime I click on join game (when the list should be shown) the game gets unresponsive. Mouse won't work, keyboard doesn't do shit etc. But if I wait long enough the game might decide to suddenly show a new server (mind you, I still can't click or press anything). If I press escape and wait an eternity he might even decide to go back a screen.
O.o

Well, I suppose I know why it's not working properly on my end. Because even though I told my stupid ass router to forward the ports they're still all closed.
Yay, port forwarding ain't working any more! Great -,-'
I'm running a Netgear WGR614 if anybody has a clue, much obliged.

cant get the FOV to work,did what it says
In your WillowInput.ini file Under [Engine.PlayerInput] Add these...
Bindings=(Name="F9",Command="FOV 85",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
Bindings=(Name="F10",Command="FOV xxx",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
xxx=95.4370607151 would be correct for 1680 x 1050 ?
i press F9/10 and nothing happens

Afaik FOV 95.4370607151 is the correct one for 16:10 resolutions like 1920x1200, so use that instead of FOV 100 if it feels wonky."

I try to start the game in Win 7 x64 after I've applied the crack and nothing happens. Changed compability mode and Run as Administrator too.
Reinstalled the game and now it's working.

Correct file :
in your My Games\Borderlands\WillowInput.ini
Correct section :
[WillowGame.WillowPlayerInput]
Example :
Bindings=(Name="F10",Command="FOV 95.4370607151",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)

Thanks. This way I'll maybe play the game at some point. Great job, Gearbox. I love how sometimes they release games that are broken.

lhzr wrote: | you added the binds wrong (probably for fov). delete'em (or follow the instructions ) and you should be fine.
Code: | Before pasting code for keybindings - OR - If pasting keybindings disables your controls
When pasting code below the "WillowGame.WillowPlayerInput" section, it is important to paste it BELOW all the other bindings that are there. There should be a massive wall of text with all your key bindings. HOWEVER - This does not show up by default, and therefore pasting your code in the empty area breaks all your bindings.
The fix to this is simple: Open Borderlands, go to the Options, and change a control (any key binding). Close Borderlands and check the "WillowInput.ini" file again, you should now see the MASSIVE wall of text with all the bindings. Place your code underneath that wall of text. |

I did three times first one where it was put 2 locations, then vga's mention of where it goes, then again from a website..
