THQ’s announced that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine will be coming to PC, as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The title, a third-person action shooter RPG thingy, was announced in May last year for just PS3 and 360 at the time.
Relic boss Jonathan Dowdeswell said: “The loyal PC audience is incredibly important to us here at Relic so we are delighted to be able to announce the PC version of the game.”
THQ’s Travis Plane added: Delivering great content the fans want to play is the key goal in the core games division at THQ so we are pulling out all of the stops to make this the best possible game for PC and console audiences alike.”
The trailer doesn't look that good. It's like playing dow2 with only one unit in a tps view. Hope it's not another generic tps made to cater to the console tards.
actually thats what makes it look fun to me... instead of birds eye view, being on the ground in the thick of it. if they spam shitloads of enemies at you to make you feel like your in the middle of a battle, instead of just small skirmishes, then im quite happy to handle those 'less than aaa-grade visuals' - especially if they make it very visceral and bloody!
my only hope for this is that its atleast better than the transformers one. yeah i keep bringing that one up, but that game was just so freakin depressing in its utter blandness, that i just cant get it out of my head.
Just what we need, another console cover shooter port.
Indeed. What more, the retarded premise of 4 marines (convenient number with console dumbos) against hordes of enemies is just hilarious, and goes totally against the fluff.

I think that the intro to the first DOW demonstrated that combat in this game can look great at a ground level, so it could be a good game if they manage to pull it off.
But I have plenty of doubts on this one, nor am I really hyped, so I guess I'll see it when I see it...
Fuck this nonsense... as Leo already said; four players do NOT lend themselves to the typical WH40k session (4 marines vs ∞ Orkz/Nids? No, just no) HOWEVER! We should have a new Space Hulk game, goddamnit! 4 players would be enough for a small Terminator squad and with today's tech? the game would be ownagesauce.

Hey if Ciaphas Cain, with just a handful of Imperial Guard troopers (and maybe an Inquisitor every now and then) can go against a seemingly infinite number of Orks, Tyranids, and Chaos cultists, and manage to take down a Chaos Space Marine, a Hive Tyrant, a Warboss, and a Daemon Prince with just his trusty chainsword and laspistol (and Jurgen and his melta), then four Space Marines should fare fine.
'And then the prophet spake, saying, "Frak this, for my faith is a shield proof against your blandishments."' - Alem Mahat, The Book of Cain, Chapter IV, Verse XXI
Though maybe the trailer is just misleading and you'll actually be having Grey Knights or something. Could explain the 4 man thing.
But not why they're fighting Orks. Damn it. OK, maybe they're Chaos Orks. Yeah that's it.
