Super Meat Boy, previously released as a X360 exclusive, sells a lot better on PC
Amnesia sells great
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has PC as the majority of users playing.
The latter says it all really, in BF:BC2 PC was a majority (more than either X360 or PS3), so Kotick is talking out of his ass as always. |
The 2-3 million PC copies BF:BC2 has sold on the PC (the number must be around if they have sold almost 6 in total).. their number doesn't mean much to Kotick.
I mean I imagine CoD games sell around that number of copies on the PC anyway, given how popular they are, yes, even on the PC.

Aside from the usual "more accessible" and " broader audience" stuff (which is a must these days ) there are also some interesting things, like dynamic lights for indoor maps and the possibility to choose whether to be revived or not (unlike BC2, where it was quite annoying).

How does DNR work in the game? |
I don't know exactly, they only said it won't be automatic like in BC2 where point-hungry medics would constantly revive you in the middle of a battle with snipers all around

Poor Bobby. He always says MW3 is the best game in history, but now we know all he secretly wants is to play Battlefield 3. So sad :_(

A guy who tried the game at E3 said that you can shoot the sources of light in the metro station and make the place darker.
garus wrote: | Do Not Revive |
It's a selectable option at the bottom of the screen after you've been incapacitated, if you select it the're's a countdown for your respawn and any medic trying to revive you won't be able to do so (I guess he's warned about that in some way).

I imagine it works just as it did in Enemy Territory. You just opt waiting for the respawn instead of waiting for the medic. To the other players it just seems as if you died, so you just won't show up as revivable to the medic.
In ET and RTCW those waiting for the medic also had an animation depicting them as wounded and asking for help, making it easier to spot them without the HUD. In one of those BF3 videos I saw that the player was moving his hands when he was down (from the first person perspective) so it's possible they'll implement something like that in BF3 as well.
