Really?
I'm sure I used Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, B, A
EDIT: Maybe there's several, this is the one I used.

FieldOfView=1.000000
MaxUserFOVOffsetPercent=15.000000
Altering these don't seem to work here for adjusting FOV. Reaching for a 90 FOV. Afaik default max is 70... ( )
Any tips?

Same crap even on lowest settings. There are some weird places where FPS drops to 20. Always. No idea why, nothing complex in sight.

There's no tessellation though, that above is just common normal-mapping.

Exactly my point.
What the difference between 1999 mode and hard mode? I don't use navigator anyway (what the point, it is a corridor) and always check all the corners.

Thank, but I think I'll save 1999 mode for a 2nd play-through, hard should be good enough.

Both must work then, maybe the one you mentioned works with a gamepad and the one I mention was for keyboard?
(Well I guess both work on either input method but some of the input buttons might be more difficult to pull off with a keyboard.)

What's the difference between the two post-processing options? The description doesn't say much.

You can change a lot of graphics settings, but you can’t disable post-processing – only switch it to an ‘Alternate’ mode which makes distant things clearer but closer things more blurry.

Alternate uses "diffusion depth of field" instead of the normal one. That's more expensive and more accurate, but not all people like how it looks. So it's labeled alternate, instead of better/advanced etc.

Try to lower all the GFX setting first and then check if it still crashes.

Is there motion blur in it? If yes can you disable it separately or is it infused into post processing?

Look at the buildings in the back, how that is blurred, plus the sign, way lesser blurred and more sharper with alternate
Open both in tab and switch between them, you can clearly see the difference
And i can't take close up screens, forced to play on medium graphics due to my shitty 1gb vram

Yes, indeed, but we need to see how it works with objects near you! (not far away)

Alternate keeps the close objects also sharp? Only the background is sharper, which I prefer. |

Too bad that there won't be a tweakguide covering all of this stuff.

This better? Altho i don't see any difference, only the background..
Normal:
Alternate:
Btw, barely notice any difference in medium preset and ultra...
Medium:
Ultra:
Yet ultra needs SHITLOADS of more vram and thus can't run it, even tho my gpu's can handle 60 fps with ultra -.-'

Looks really awesome, looking forward to play when I get home from work (sometimes I hate having work...)
If it weren't for the stupid season pass shit I would've bought this. Now it will just be isodemo.. The DLC with the 3DM crack is the season pass content right?

I personally don't see any difference between normal and alternate on close objects, but distant onjects look much sharper/better with alternate.

I'm playing with textures and object detail on high and aside from the horrible occasional framerate drop due to the game loading some shit (that surprisingly doesn't bring in that much stuttering when it happens) I'm not experiencing any problems so far.
So... dafuq?
Unless it happens further into the game, and in that case I'll probably start seeing it happening tomorrow.
Oh, and I'm running it locked at 50fps via RadeonPro BTW.

Someone claimed it does blur the foreground. But it doesn't look like it does. So +1 for alternate being better then.

Yeah i have really no idea, i'm forced to run on med preset (altho current screens are taken with ultra), but when i change ONE little thing, it already starts stuttering.
Meh, i'll just play it on med, aslong as i have solid 60fps, i don't really care.
Playing on the HDTV in the livingroom anyway, so not noticing the details

Normal has the standard UE3 dof blur which I hate. Alternate even antialiases the picture a little (look at that chimney or what it is)
