Wow, I just watched that intro video, the graphics look amazing. Even in the gameplay bits, and despite it being played on derpbox. I can only imagine how gorgeous it will look on PC Smile

I'll be attentive to comments from derpbox pirates when their ISO demo gets released like two weeks before official

Is it just me or fighting looks boring? I watched all videos posted so far and its basically the same martial art monotonous crap with rare occasions of "brain frying" attack. The setting seems nice , memory manipulation although scripted looks intriguing(at least for the first walkthrough) but fighting is just meh..

Preorder bonuses here! Preorder bonuses there! Would please fuck off with that shit. I just don't understand them, never did, never will. In my case, such things only make me to not want to buy the game at all.

Wow... he didn't pull any punches did he? ISOdemo first, I guess Very Happy A lot of his concerns do appear to have merit (I say "appear" because, just like the other comments on the YT vid, I *haven't* played it - whereas Matt *has*) based on the videos I've seen, but I'm still very much interested in this and can't wait to check it out myself.

Preview code, but released in less than a month. Unless there's some drastic changes, it's not going to be a lot better than that. Sad

ISOdemo for me too. And really hope that Hidden and Dangerous will end up on GOG. Awesome shooter that was, as say Yoda would.

You guys this was always a B game with a flair of Eurojank (TM), and there's nothing wrong with that. Metro is B as well. Very Happy

What I got from that video is the camera might suck balls. The other observations were well within what I expected, really and I am not bothered.

For example, I think plenty of animations were of B quality and the shooting felt very weak because the enemies didn't really react as they should to your bullets.

Mind you I don't consider B = shit quality, maybe I should have written "AA".

When I say it's B, for example I'd say the Mass Effect games have C- animations. Laughing

I'd imagine a mutant like in these games would just keep charging until collapse regardless of damage done unless it's with a really big gun, they're pretty frenzied.
(That damn "demon" thing doesn't die at all, I kept shooting by using a trainer and nothing killed it.)

No idea how a semi-drunk Russian post-apocalyptic survivor would react.

EDIT: No idea how a green slime blob would react either (split!), I've seen plenty of slime images (Japanese "art") but these amoeba things are pretty basic, and highly irritating when trying to protect a AI NPC whom just keeps charging forward.
(It seems those things won't be returning in this game.)

(D&D gelatinous cube maybe, those things were annoying in Temple of Elemental Evil, looked kinda tasty though with all that green jelly swaying around but apparently they're acidic or some such.)

EDIT: And this isn't the Metro 2034 / Last Light thread, way to notice that now, heh.
(Multiple tabs and all that.)

Personally I'm a fan of the rough around the edges kind-of-games, so the lower the letters, the better Very Happy. I'd take a slightly unpolished B game over a press-button-to-AAAwesome title anytime (well assuming that the gameplay isn't irreparably fucked up of course Laughing)
