That is definitely not working. Using latest daemon and the YASU u mentioned. Also tried the CTRL+ALT+DEL trick with no luck. Any suggestions?? I'm just trying to get into singleplayer not worried about the MP.

And yeah, looks like post process (DoF, bloom) was off when I took these pics for some reason so probably that's why trees look so jagged in my pics.

Wouldnt you think that it would be better to play the demo and if you like it, buy the game than going through all this hoopla. I have seen you here for the past 48 hours and 16 posts saying the game doesnt work for you. Even at minimum wages, you could have made 16 times the money required to buy a cd key of this game online....lol

Well i've been waiting for this game for a long time and really want it to work!! I guess I'll stick with AA3 until a crack comes out.

Well it's nice that SLI/CF works the way it's supposed to in this game. Performance okayish and game is very playable for me, but in Scenario 3 I have major slow downs. It's like 30 fps, then 5 fps for 10 secs, then 30 fps for 10 secs and 5fps again. Maybe it's fade fucking with me, but iTWINS clone shouldn't have fade?

I keep getting fookin wrong cd key when i try to patch to 1.02.. I have tried no serial, correct serial, etc but its still pissing me off.. any ideas?

FADE shouldn't affect performance but some scenes are very demanding, particularly when a lot of AI is active at once since it'll affect the processor a bit due to the many calculations done to handle AI.

I'm a bit uncertain on how it all adds up but in a city environment for example (Think that's the third mission, refinery and city battle, haven't completed it yet myself as I've been busy with other things.) all AI are calculated individually and then now and again they're "updated" with new routines and instructions on how to operate.

Such as view distance data and cover and if they see you (Or other soldiers) or if something is blocking their view, radio commands and orders plus weapon data and what tactics to use or how to attack, defend, retreat, regroup and so on, pretty hefty with a lot of soldiers as you probably can imagine.

The game does use multiple cores and this is one thing it uses them for but a dual core at decent speeds should work quite well most of the time albeit it can use quad cores pretty effectively as well from what I've read.
(Even heavily threaded i7 processors though not full usage on every core/thread.)

More optimization work can probably be done as well to improve this, I'm fairly certain it's better than in ArmA 1.

Well , i don't why i have many AA choice , low .... to 6,7,8 (well maybe just a bug in the menu and Veryhigh mean low or something like that )
here a screenshot comparison :
1rst > AA Veryhigh 2scd > AA 8 (a hudge fps difference , but not realy on visual quality)

Anyway im getting HORRIBLE preformance in the demo, even if i put everything on High with just Normal AA ffs..
Its okay most of the time, when standing alone in nature lol. But as soon as something happens (Scenario 2) its just horrible and unplayable. Especially with that motion blur.

How did FADE kick in ? With the newer 1.02 patch ?

Because normally you use itwins+1.02 and no FADE.

I can't run the game because of securom ("Conflict with emulator detected") yet i thought FADE is the reason we're not seeing a release, my bad.

Ive been using this gfx card with max graphics in every game from Crysis to well, everything.

Also, disabling Post-processing (motion blur most likely is the cause) smoothes out the entire gameplay. But i want that depth of field dammit!

Your CPU is probably the bottleneck, this game is very CPU-intensive and with good reason. That's why lowering the gfx settings doesn't really help you. Start overclocking till your chip gets cooked, then upgrade Very Happy

And, yes that video made me buy the game ! Well, replaying OpFlash as well.

Not Directed at anyone in particular. This has been said before a few times, FROM DT forums. ARMA2 + DT lite 4.30.4.0027 + Yasu 1.6.9040 WILL ONLY work on Vista & Win7 NOT XP!! There needs to be an update for yasu to work with new securom + XP.

Wish people that just say it works for me would also include their OS + DT Version + Yasu version. This was all the newbies would stop all the questions on how to get it working with XP.. Either use the german nodvd fix for 1.01 + Itwins, put up with fade. Or 2 go buy it or wait even longer for crack for 1.02.

My itwins + legit key + JB activation files + 1.02 latest patch - installed in German. I wonder if this OnlineKeystore key is German. Hmm..I didn't want to use no mod method to get English.

You should use the mod from the official forum, posted last page or so. The one which includes signs for the files, so that servers can use that and not kick us for using illegal mods.

I have Vista x64 and YASU 1.6 plus latest demon and game is NOT working for me. Still get the emulation conflict error.

Can i change the game into english if I use the German noDVD crack?

But, yes, as a general rule, you cannot activate retail CD-keys (or keys from anywhere else) on Steam.

Not true. There is a page somewhere in the steam help files which lists which other sources for which games they'll take keys from to activate them. Sometimes retail, but there are a few online ones as well (Defense Grid is one of the games)

and with the following:
Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz
2 GB Ram (windows xp)
512 MB geforce 7900GTX should I even bother picking this up?

I can play GTAIV on this quite acceptably, is arma much more demanding than that?
I don't need to play everything maxed to be happy, so long as it doesn't look like 1995
