Can someone help me with the Blue Hive?
Spoiler: |
I'm at the part where you're using a crane to lift up and drop blue minions on the floor, in the process they die, so you're supposed to use your minions to ressurect them, either by sweeping them over, or by sending them over there.
Problem is that neither work, if i sweep them over they never do anything, i can see jerkiness, and i try to let it go there, but the minion doesn't ressurect him, i try sending them over there but they just run right back, i can't shift-target the minion, and even if i stand right on top of them with all of my blue minions i can't ressurect the guy.
Anyone got any ideas?

Green hyve is hampering the gameplay...
Spoiler: |
Many times now I've get the green hyve, gnarr said fiannly it's bakc in our spawning pit and you now can summon the green minions.
But when you select a green pit... you can't. Even when you goto your tower there's no green hyve...

Incredible shitty sequel. The storyline composes just of raping towns one after another, and the moral choices from the prequel are reduced to kill 100 peasants or enslaving them.
COMPLETELY no technological nor gameplay improvement over the first one. Developers must be fucking retarded to think they can milk it from the "succes" of the first one.

LOL how can you get lost in the game? My only one complaint about it is it's too linear. Seriously, there is zero way to get lost.
Other than that, wonderful game. Deserves a 9/10 imo.

fun game. better than overlord 1. The graphics are good except the low view distance (sometimes the objects just pop up in the near distance) + pixelated shadows in some places (playing 1920x1200 all maxed out). The maps are good and i think they are even better than the overlord 1 had. Environments are great and look good. Game play is nice but yes... sometimes repetitive.
And if you get lost in this game then... you sir are a fucking idiot....

What's your problem ? I'm saying that map was weird with the damn elevators, couldn't find a way to get to the red hive, although it was right there, then there were those plant-women that I couldn't kill. Well, I killed the first one in the map, but forgot what it told me and how I did it, so sue me.
Then there's the fucking autosave, and next time I load the game I'm at the throne room saying "wait, what ?"
Then there's the respawning ... everything, barrels, enemies. Everything looks the same and I can't get my bearings right.
There's the damn controls which I found unituitive (not really good with a gamepad, also I had to use the fucking 360 pad emulator)
Of course there's the ball-busting camera snapping my view where it wants to. I had advanced a LOT in the first Overlord, but this time I don't have the patience for this on-the-rails console game

lolz... one thing is right -> there should be a message log or something about what that minion just told you (like in the gta games use to have). But if you press tab you can look @ your objectives. And there IS a autosave. The game crashed one time and I was able to start where I left off (it even shows you when the game autosave's). It's just that it doesn't save every 5 seconds. Enemy respawns because you have to destroy that place where they are coming from. The enemy doesn't respawn in everywhere every time. And if you bothered to listen to the minion then you would have known that. The controls are fucking A except the swiping sometimes has its "bugs" but its better than in the overlord 1 i think. I use mouse and keyboard and everything is ok. And its fucking easy to control the camera with the mouse... so its fine except sometimes the camera doesn't know how to position itself but that doesn't happen often.
It seems that some players need a map that's just one long corridor or there's a fucking HUGE red line on the floor so they wont get lost.... sad world. No wonder most game developers make crap dumbfuckshit maps these days...

Yes, it seems I'm not smart enough for this hardcore simulation game. I'll just go back to my console-turd Operation Flashpoint /sarcasm
How about they make the maps more logical and intuitive. And less corridor/labyrinth-like.

corridor/labyrinth like maps are the easiest things... and yet you get stuck.... what where you expecting from this game... open ended game where everything looks the same (aka oblivion, fallout 3).
And to make them more "fun" they ad shit like elevators, slides, bombs etc and... oh yes... they should not ad them because then someone will get STUCK.

Just finished it - despite doing everything Destruction, apart from ONE thing which I won't spoil, it gave me the mixed ending. Think I'm going to replay it again and go for domination this time. Boy the blue minions really were completely useless, just like in the first game.

Guys did you killed & enslaved that 100 peasants in nordberg before advancing in the game?
I'm thinking that maybe one of those stupid things might be the cause why I can't unlock the green minions after picking up the hyve...

they are useful in reviving minions (if you don't have any to spare and the only way to keep fighting is to revive the fallen ones) and there are some puzzles with the blues... so they arent completely useless.
