lol , i carry my laptop in a fucking backpack .. didnt even bother buying a normal laptop carrier cause i find more practical to have the fucking thing on my back rather than hold it.
the quicksilver pack really looks nice tho , but holding the laptop there isnt a good idea since i dont think it's very well ventilated.

anyway , apple computers and laptops are overpriced and no worth buying unless you need them for music or movie making.

and how is Air not overpriced ?
and for me , i want performance and better cooling (ok , like i said , if you're in music and movie making , apple is the way to go cause of software) than design and the damn apple logo lighting up

Aesthetically pleasing, long warranty, powerful + ideal for my design work, All-in-one style + simplicity is the reason I went to mac.
Just for the record.. the iMAc may be lower spec in terms, but the OS and Software require less power then on a PC (generally) meaning they work better on less spec.
If Windows wasnt such a shit operating system, PC's wouldnt need to be so spec heavy. The only reason things constantly get faster is the games industry. You dont exactly need 5122mb of videocard memory for desktop applications do you?
Generally, Apple do not make their machines to compete on the hardware side as much as Pc manufacturers do since the gaming side of things isnt a priority of mac. Mac is focused on software, compatibility, ease of use + style. I can see why some people don't like them for the same reason people think those who buy designer clothes are stupid too, 'you can get a pair of jeans for 20 bucks blabla why spend $200 "
Its all down to personal preference.

Macs are all about the harmony among the hardware and software, there is no need for tweaking with drivers. In other words they just work You just switch them on and are ready to earn money for your work.
And I use Macs for the software / web development. As a base you get all the best things from *nix system plus all the goodies that Mac OS X provides. Persistent GUI among the apps(button will always be a button, popup menu will always be a popup menu), persistent keyboard shortcuts among apps, system wide scripting system, and so many more little things that polish user experience.
