I actually just got done playing and now have a headache. Its not the bloom but something about this game fucks with your eyes.

Like I said, FireMaster, I play tons of FPSes, and CoJ is one of the only ones that makes me nauseous. It's just the motion. There is something off about it, that makes me feel dizzy. Perhaps the FOV, or the speed, or something. I dunno. I just know that it made me feel sick.
Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.

Comatibility > Disable desktop composition

60 steady fps on my pc.

game having no copy protection comes as a no surprise from ubisoft, they've been doing this for their last couple of PC titles, except far cry 2
nice engine that don't take a lot of space and is also well optimized just like Far cry 2.

still... i recall there is a refresh option, mine was set to 60mhz

I know the first one didn't have vsync, that's why I couldn't play it under vista (in vista there is no 'force vsnyc' option in the ati control panel).

There is but ATI allows game specific settings to override the CCC options.
(So does NVIDIA but mainly in regards to AA/AF whereas ATI allows it for AA/AF, Vsync and those "AI" optimizations. - At least from what I know.)
Using the D3DOverrider utility or what it's called (Part of another program.) should make any game being able to use Vsync if forced and along with tripple buffering to improve performance when having Vsync on due to the way it works. (Bit hard to describe, tripple buffering also comes at the cost of a bit of video RAM from what I know.)

It is forced through my Nvidia control panel. But im game there is no vsync. Any .ini hacks perhaps?

Tried it for like 20 times but no luck... even if I concentrate on his movement and keep him in focus (move accordingly) + keeping my hand pretty damn close to the gun my first shot always misses. are you supposed to aim after drawing your gun, because to me it seems almost impossible. the first shot goes low and as soon as I can get the second shot the crosshair is way above his head and he already already shot me down.
I'll keep trying but to me the duel mechanics seem a bit out of place (maybe it works better on consoles?). anyway stopped playing for now because there's no fun in reloading the same sequence over and over again.

Forcing Vsync through Nvidia Control Panel worked fine for me. (changed the program specific settings for the .exe)

You have to keep him lined up on your right side, and your hand as near to your gun as possible. When the bell tolls, swing your mouse right (to grab your gun first) then wait for the cross-hair to turn red as it passes over ANY part of his body. It doesn't matter where you hit as long as you hit. You only get one shot, so don't miss. It took me about 10-15 tries to get it down but once you figure it out it's easy.
Game is fucking EPIC. Slickest shooter in recent memory. The gun play rocks, the story keeps driving forward and the engine is slick as hell. Did I mention the guns kick ass? I feel like I'm ten years old all over again

You gotta disable desktop composition in game's .exe properties to get it working.

Same. I just installed it and it instantly worked. Had no changes made to my Windows 7
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
