ehm.. you realise the controls become digital the second they are recorded by your input device?
but i think know what you mean
the controls are pretty dependant on system performance
it got a lot smoother and responsive when i updated my videocard
it feels like a normal fps now (though, there is still a lag for walking, which is by design to simulate body mass)
if you're talking about vehicle controls, they were greatly improved for 1.02 from earlier versions and arma1 where driving was a damn nightmare
also, you should rebind much of the controls anyway
like i put zoom on hold the RMB, and toggle optics on click RMB
i could bind a different action for doubleclick, but it would get a bit crowded

It's not what im talking about, there's digital control (e.g a digital gamepad and there's analog controls, e.g a mouse or an analog gamepad). In this case it feels stiff and "digital" - it's not possible to make smooth movements. I have 50-60 FPS average, i shouldnt need better performance than that to get decent controlls.
From what i've understood they've attached the camera to the character's head, and the character itself animates quite badly - which makes the controlls quite bad.
For some reason some people claim this is more "realistic", i couldn't disagree more. A "free floathing" camera (like in most FPS games) feels more natural to me. Even though it doesnt simulate reality perfectly its still better than going around like a radio controlled robot that reacts really sluggish.

i dont underrstand if i get a cd key for arma 2 form onlinekeystore and download the itwins version i still have a problem with fade protection and needed a crack because the dvd is not the original one or i can play without problem?

If you buy a CD key online, then you have to use the activation files if you want to have no problem with fade etc. You can find the activation files couple pages back on this thread posted by JB. It's called "paul".

Got my key from onlinekeystore weeks ago, reinstalled using ITWins version and patched to 1.02 latest version and I can not change the language, so I guess the legit key is region locked, still have to use mod for English. Mounted with Deamon Tools Lite & Yasu, works fine do not need to end task. OS is Vista64.

If they would stop, stores would be forced to get English keys, but why should they bother when the keys keep rolling out the door.

i try to activet with securom activation files with a english key bought from onlinekeystore but i always get an error of serial code not found in the database

Finally it arrived in my mailbox today!! And i must say, it has a totally different feel to it. No more weird things going on! I can normally steer a parashute now, i can shoot nice and straight. love it! A must buy really!!

I just got back from 2 weeks in the darkness, no internet and such.
can somebody please explain why this game is not cracked? doesn't it use Securom just like the rest of the games that were cracked recently?

It uses FADE, just like the first game. And you don't need a crack, mini-image works just fine.
I just bought this on Steam, couldn't bother with all the cd-key hassles.

A form of protection trigger for the game, if it detects a invalid serial number or if you use a improperly cracked executable it'll alter gameplay functions as you play with stuff like super AI, impossible aim, being turned into a bird and some other functions.

What hassle ? If you use the activation files, then ... well that's it. Then you just run the game. Doesn't matter what version you are running or whatever. You can also reinstall it and not need to activate again.

Which of the mini-images from GCW am I supposed to be using?
I've tried everything suggested here, on both Vista x64 and Win 7 x64, but I still get the "conflict with emulation software" when trying to run this. I'm either missing something or plain unlucky.
Would really like to play this. Can't afford to buy it just yet.
