|
 |
Recently my Logitech Dual action's left analog decided to get stuck when ever moved up. I've been playing SF4 online quite a bit and can't stand the d-pad on this thing. So I got frustrated with it and threw it on the floor and now every button on the left side including the d-pad doesn't work on it. Oh well time for a new one.
So what I want is some recommendations and one preference of mine is that it not have that shitty button to switch between analog and d-pad. I want them both to work at the same time. All input is greatly appreciated.
*edit* oh and ironically after hitting the floor the analog stick now works great a shame it sacrificed the left shoulder buttons to make it so.

Well, for SF4 (and other fighting games), this looks great.

depends on what you want to play with it...the x360 controller is excellent, but sucks balls when it comes to fighting games. natan's suggestion is great, but if you want more of an allrounder, check out this one:

Thanks for the advise the ps2700 does look nice and I will most likely go with it. The fight stick is tempting but wouldn't be useful for most games.

Meh Logitech controller, I guess it's fine if you don't want to play any new games. And x360 being crap for fighters is BULLSHIT. You can fix dpad and it'll work excellent. I did that on both of my 360 controllers and dpad is now functioning better than on my old Logitech controller, a PS2 controller and a Xbox1 controller.

besides wireless 360 has compatibilities issues which will require to run some 3rd party app, which is fuking annoying

Yeah ok, but NO. I also had that logitech for 2-3 years so save your typical self righteous BS for someone else
And Natan was right about dpad on that logitech, it really is shit. Looks crap in pic, but is even worse when you play, feels loose and meh.

I know you guys are gunna rag on me for saying this, but I prefer using the 360 controller. No setup for games, works for every game etc And I can use it on my 360 as well right.
And its pretty cheap (wired one).

I just wanted to provide second opinion to OP on that Logitech gamepad.

the d-pad itself isn't the problem - it's where it's placed. plus the abxy buttons are comfortable to play anything else, but feel kinda sucky for fighting games. just my humble opinion: ps3 (style) controller --> fighting games, x360 --> everything else.

My thumb gets tired very fast when I play fighting games with PS2 controller, so unless there were some drastic changes in ps3 controller's dpad I don't see how it's the best.

not gonna rag on you, you said pretty much what I had to say, 360 controller is pretty much the official pad for PC today, especially for G4W games, and the majority of PC titles today have full support for it, they show its buttons (Y X B A etc) and everything nicely, no need to configure or any hassle at all.

sony's gamepad is the main reason I'd never consider getting a playstaion, fucking hate the location of the left analog, if they swapped the d-pad and the analog It'd be fine.
