a guide posted earlier mentioned mounting the mini image and converting it to another format for virtual cd. Or something.

Virtual CD doesn't work for me, I tried the default templet and Shittingarounds settings, followed all instructions to the letter. All I get is "Insert Original instead of Backup" when I try and start the game.

I officially give up messing with this clone. The only reason I was high on getting the clone was that I know they'll probably patch the shit out of this game. Oh well, one out of hundreds, still a pretty good record Laughing ....waits for crack.

Thanks to all who tried to help.

I got this to work by mounting the virtual cd in my actual physical dvd drive letter. I know that sounds wierd but Virtual CD seems to allow me to mount the virtual cd I created into the drive letter of my actual DVD burner. If I mount it into a virtual CD drive created by VCD, it won't work. At least so far, I haven't played enough to find out about fade tho.

I guess I was lucky.

I got a version (before the clone with the mini image) that after it unrared, it worked perfectly.

It was custom, no group affiliation...just someone did it and works like a charm.

Haven't gotten into it yet but if I like it, will buy it.

did that with ghostbusters today, played it for 6 hours then figured I'd go out and buy it before I beat it and end up not buying it.

But I think I am gunna buy it next weekend (gotta take my nephew shopping so he can buy a gift for his "girlfriend's" bday party, he's 5 lol).

check the exe header:
..start secu rebuild.....100% okfixing redirect......110% ok....patchin triggas....101% ok

and the best about it is that the exe is a unprotected one. thats realy gay to claim they have rebuilded it and then to use a unprotected exe ...

Already have a fully working version (a custom one, not the clone) but if the RLD crack works (which it seems to as it isn't nuked), then who gives a flying fuck if they didn't rebuild it or wax and buff it and give it a make over....fuck....as long as it works with no problems, who gives a flying fuck?

EDIT

Yep, get the Proper 0x007 release and just use the English conversion files (just C & P like 3 files I believe.....simple as as anything....rld's is fubar as is their archive). As the 0x0007 nfo says, RLD didn't remove a lot of triggers or FADE.

The English files (for language and audio) is simply named Arma2 English.rar and I've already tested them on another German release and they work perfectly.

Whats up with Reloaded these days? Using beta exe's, fubared exe's etc....

0x0007's info doesn't say anything about RLD, or have you tried it and can confirm there's still FADE triggers left?

The executables are the same for all legit releases after the 1.02 patch. So, I guess the RLD and the 0x0007 releases have a byte-identical cracked executable.

And I quick release search shows that itwins sre RLD's pets/suppliers/clone whores. So they had permission of course.

EDIT: I think syco is a little confused by all these releases, but as long as he has a "custom" one, it's fine, lol. (it's probably the genesis 1.01 rlz, that's why he's using a translation mod don't tell him though)

this isnt a cracked executable ... its a unprotected one ... and saying that other groups missed something in their crack while rld didnt crack anything is realy lame. rld is dead for me. i miss the old quality rlses :/
