Start the game and press the Home button on your keyboard, then just try to go online and it should ask for a key.

Yeah I am sorta disappointed in KOF XII's sprites. Not necessarily the sprites themselves actually but the animation. The game is coming out a decade after 3rd Strike and yet no fighter has touched that game in terms of pushing 2D sprites. I mean the reason they went 3D with Street Fighter IV was because they felt there was nothing left to accomplish using sprites due to what they did in 3rd Strike.
Anyway that game you linked me to is exactly what I despise, overly femanine Japanese fighters. I just picked up BlazBlue and am experimenting although I've never been a fan of Guilty Gear.
Yeah Igniz is a bastard but I thought the same of Goenitz back in 96 I think it was.

Just got off playing online. Definitely going to get this game come payday.
I won like 30something% of the games I played using Rufus. Not too bad for a first try. Got my ass handed to me at the start but I managed to get the hang of their strategy. Sagat and Abel are a pain. Though Abel is probably just because I lack experience. I'm sure that strike grab combo of his can be broken/countered.

Anybody able to do guile's or vega's (claw dude) ultra/super? I can do everyone else's ultra/supers on the keyboard except the guys I've mentioned and zangief (I won't be able to do 720 degree motion on keyboard).
I know with a controller you can pull it off easily, but I'm too used to playing on keyboard.

Do it like this: Charge down back, release back and still hold down, push forward quickly, back quickly, release down and push up (only up is needed not up-forward!) at same time as kick or punch.

What is the most powerful Ultra? I find, so far, that Akuma's is very powerful, perhaps the most?

i've been playing sf iv non-stop. i just love the sf series (including vs, ds, alpha, etc.). i used to play sf 2 and it's variants in the arcades back in the day with my friends.
i've beaten the game with all the characters except for akuma, gouken, and seth (have not unlocked them yet). i've started playing the challenge mode. it's okay. i wished they had the 'world tour' mode like in sfa 3 for the psx. now that was fun.
this is by far the best in the sf series. i can't wait for the eventual followup -- sf iv championship edition. or better yet, make a vs series using the sf iv 3d engine. the cool thing with the 3d models is it can scale well with hd resolution. plus it's much easier for capcom to re-use 3d characters in newer games/variations.
i would like to see capcom use hw accelerated physics for the clothing, add model deforming to show damage, and add more characters from previous sf games (t hawk, d jay, sf3 characters like alex, dudley, elena, q, remy) in future sf iv engine games.

I doubt it will be possible but... is there a way to quickly unlock all the hidden characters ?
(I already beat the game on ps3, just need the extra characters for MP)
Oh and fantastic game brw, I've just realized I was playing a fighting game (!) -and an extraordinary one- on a PC, damn !

Man the challenges become more difficult starting around 10-11 for me in both survival and time trial mode.
Not to mention I hate Abel. Everytime I do the raging demon; he always manages to grab me and do his stupid throw.

Yup the colors I meant : you can enable them once and it works but the next time you log in there'll be a message saying there's data corruption in your live profile ("do you want to create another profile ?" etc...).
(Unless I did something wrong).
But the extra characters *are* fully usable both offline and online.

That unlock "cheat" or what to call it worked just fine, no data corruption in the save either (Though I unlocked them one type at a time and then played a challenge match or viewed artwork to let the game save.)
Shame he didn't post the unlock codes (Or what to call it, memory address patching.) for the actual bonus costumes though, assuming the game can still use them without a actual DLC.
(Unsure how it works for the PS3/X360.)

Yup maybe that's the key, trying them one by one and save ingame, which I didn't do...
Sorry for the false hope about the costumes, I misread his instructions at first. But I think he mentions that even if he knew how to unlock them he wouldn't tell how, because of the DLC, copyright infringements etc...

Yes, you just can't get achievements.

Played a few games tonight and was impressed with the quality of games - seems like lots of people are on live and only 1 game out of about 10 was lagged.
