And remember, you need a burner that can burn dual layer discs.
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

Spoiler: | | Teveron20 wrote: | The Sims 3 (DVD-9 to 2x DVD-5)
First, create the folders DVD 1 and DVD 2.
DVD 1
- Copy all files from the dvd to "DVD 1".
- Delete the file “FullBuild2.package" which can be found in “Sims3\GameData\Shared\Packages".
- Delete the folder "NonPackaged" which can be found in “Sims3\GameData\Shared".
DVD 2
- Copy all files from the dvd to "DVD 2".
- Delete the files “FullBuild0.package" and “FullBuild1.package" which can be found in “Sims3\GameData\Shared\Packages".
- Open "Autorun.inf" in DVD 2 folder and change it into this:
[autorun]
open=0
icon=Sims3.ico
Burn
- Burn the files from "DVD 1" with label "Sims3" (4,28 gb)
- Burn the files from "DVD 2" with label "Sims3" (2,86 gb)
PS: During the installation, the installation program will ask you to put in the next floppy. By this, it means DVD 2. Hope this isn't a problem, but all this works perfectly. Please leave some comments. |
Test before burning.

Or just get the Rituel iso's....they convert a ton of DVD9 iso to DVD5.
I'm think Prophet may do the same occasionally.
