I still think its gonna be better than Arma 2, even tho Arma 2 looks to be a big improvement to the first one. Lets hope it runs smoothly on PC. First one sure didn't... maybe it was patched, but still. Seems like it was bad coded or something, the gfx wasn't that awesome either. The gfx in Arma 2 on the other hand are much better, but im still skeptical as its from the same devs.

So hopefully Arma2 and OFP2 gonna rock *crosses fingers*

It looked awesome. Anyone that keep saying arma2 will be much better than ofp2 have forgotten about arma when it just got released. It sucked ass. Most of the stuff bohemia promised about it wasnt in the game like destroyable houses and terrain etc. And what about the gigantic lagfest?

Im not that sure Arma2 will be that revolutionary until ive tried it. With that im not saying ofp2 will be all that either. I think the game that got coop in it will get the GOTY award.

No need to compare the two. OFP2 on it's own looks pretty average, and it's supposed "technology" isn't in any preview I've seen. Looks like a standard combat fps. vOv

Well the previews which appeared a few weeks ago all said the game ran pretty well for an alpha from a performance standpoint...

Screens, holds up pretty well visually compared to ArmA but still a far cry away from those early concepts, not bad looking or anything though but the true test will be in gameplay as this should be more of a simulator than a FPS to compete properly against Bohemia Interactive.

Not bad, obiouvsly I cant say much of the graphics but at least seems the game will have realistic firing rates. I'd like to see some vehicles videos too Twisted Evil

The voiceover is hillariously bad (I bet they'll improve that), but the gameplay seems like a decent shooter. Coupled with the huge world, it can be an enjoyable experience.

Has nothing in common with the original, they could have made up a fucking name wtf like it's gonna sell more because it's a fake sequel made by a different company and kids today didn't even play OF.

To be fair, the real english voiceover seemed fine, just the accented ones were terrible.

Im hoping they do use the fuel engine, at least I know its kick ass and no pre loading over those large areas. perfect for such a game.

FUEL engine is a homemade engine developed by Asobo Studios, while OPF2 will be powered by EGO, the same engine as GRID and DIRT. Wink
Anyway my opinion is that Codemasters' choice is ok: it's true that FUEL hasn't loading times over huge areas, but the level of detail is extremely generic and bland. This could be an irrilevant thing in a fast arcade racing, but not in a realistic fps like OPF2 that requires accurate 100m shootings.

From tralers its not look like realistic game. Looks like all other shooters, only in big open areas.

I could go for a CoD4 style game but with open word and vehicles.

After DiRT 2, Codemasters set the OPF2 release date to October 8 (Europe) and October 6 (North America).

Some other screens, visually it holds up pretty well though it's hard to judge how the gameplay will be, I don't think it'll match ArmA/ArmA2 as such but having it less complicated and more accessible will probably make it sell better (Making it less buggy is a bonus as well, Bohemia should have delayed their release a bit but they're patching it up pretty well.)

Those collectors editions are getting so stupid lately. NVG's and now a helmet...
