ok, here is the deal, i have told you about my new barebone, wich btw is very cool Wink It has a ide drive right now, but i want to put a new sata drive in it. To copy the partition with windows from one to the other hd, i would use drive image, now has anyone tried copying from ide to sata with drive image or the new norton ghost (norton recently bought drive image :/). Does it work?
More importantly, does windows boot after that from the sata disk, my guess is not, i think i will get the stupid inaccesible boot device error, or would it help to install the sata drivers before i copy the partitions? So if anybody has done this before please tell me how you did it.
I just don't want to buy an ide drive, although it wouldn't be a problem with these drives.
