I love the original, but i cant handle those pixels anymore. So the SE is a good thing and made me to play it again.

dont like it dont play it
This is a welcome update to an old classic and it worked very well.
I hope the same will be done to the other SCUMM games, especially the indiana jones series, day of the tentacle doesnt look or sound too bad even when its VGA

just finished it again last night, game is still great and I loved some of the voice acting, especially the guy who sells the maps on Melee Island.
I used the integrated help-system just once and it was completely wrong.

It kept telling me to use the key in the captain's quarters on the ship to unlock the cabinet when I already were on Monkey Island looking to get inside the Monkey head.
My guess is it got messed up when I closed the cabinet after retrieving the chest from it, dunno why I did it but still my thought is it shouldn't get confused by something so basic...

I really didn't like the art direction of the first remake.
Also, I played it for an hour or so and I didn't get the old magic feeling. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the Tales (all the episodes!)

Same. The Tales were great ! About the art direction the one i like best is the one from monkey island 3, hopefully monkey 2 SE looks like it.

Am I the only one who can't stand the mouse cursor in this game? Something about it really irks me. First of all it's too big (maybe ok on console where you fumble it around with your gamepad on TV). But the main thing I can't stand is the the god damn arrow keeps moving around depending of the position on screen. Absolutely atrocious. Wish there was some option to tweak this shitty cursor.
