Those screenshots are supposedly in engine shots if the new serious engine 3, I saw alot of concepts by them of all different styles Doom COD like the shots in the OP style stuff all looked super photo realistic.

A announcement related to this title might come later this week from Majesco whom it looks like will be the publisher for the game, also hinted at a X360 version.

Yes, it should be the same people...
They listened to me this time (and other people talking to them) on creating something like the original SSSE a more realistic monsters/enemies and weapons...
I mean everyone hate SS2 because of the cartoony enemies and boring weapons...

At the moment they are working on 3 projects... Smile...
One is supposed to be sorta like Doom/Quake, SS3, and another they havent really talked about...

Im waiting for the bloody map editor, cant wait to start building again Very Happy...

The first and second encounter were absolutely awesome especially in COOP

Serious Sam 2 was a pile of fucking dog shit. Cartoony graphics, less enemies, slower weapons. fucking awful dialog in story.

If they went in the direction of the FE instead of SS2 they would be so much better off

I wonder if SSSE will get a face lift too, it's the best SS game after all. I just hope this won't distract them from making SS3 as good as possible.

Game will feature a less cartoony look (Compared to Serious Sam 2, though the originals were a bit cartoony as well or how to describe it best.)

Yeah, you're thinking of the remake, Serious Sam HD (which is coming to PC, as well).

I'm really glad about them going for a less cartoony art style than SS2. Quite frankly, I hated the art direction in SS2. I really, really don't like the way Sam looks in the more recent games, versus the way he looked in First and Second Encounter.

Today they've announced an untitled new project to be published by Gamecock Media Group, which will apparently release sometime in North America in 2009 for the PC and "specific next-gen consoles," according to the press release. The new game is being built with Croteam's own Serious Engine 3. Please note, this is not Serious Sam 3, but an entirely new intellectual property.

so why does everyone keep talking about SS3 in this thread, make a new one or whatever lol.

Quote:
As of May 2007[update], Croteam is working on Serious Sam 3 for PC and Xbox 360 platforms. Croteam is concurrently developing the Serious Engine 3 which will be used to power the new game as well as another as yet unnamed game which will be based around modern day warfare.

thats the game (even tho nothing is known about lol) this thread is for

just a thought ...

SS HD will only have 4 in coop... Owell, better than none I guess...
Also, its not finalized but that might be the Console only 4 COOP...
So PC might have more, will have to wait and see...

Their "unknown" FPS, which looked like a Doom version with the Serious Engine 3 is on hold...
