Did anyone manage to buy the dlc from live marketplace? It´s only 20kb lol. Not gonna pay 20 bucks for 20kb lol.

Is the DLC linked to the live account?

Just a guess but as the game already contains all files and based on how the Warhammer 40K 2 DLC works it ties to your LIVE account so once signed in the game knows you own the extra content and "unlocks" it.

Might test it later on, best option would be to "buy" the 1000 point all-in-one pack as it's cheaper compared to five or so 320 point packs.

EDIT: Or not, it added 25 .EMZ files in that XLive DLC folder for SF4.
(dlc_00.emz to dlc_24.emz)

The ps3 madcatz controller worked on both Vista and win 7 64 for me without any other drivers. Just plug n play.

Does this mean that one just needs those 25 .EMZ files present in the SF4 directory somewhere or does G4WL have to verify that the DLC is unlocked as well?

I've been testing that but so far they only load together with LIVE and with a valid LIVE account that owns the DLC. (Just having the files in the proper folder doesn't seem to do anything, neither did placing them in the game folder.)

Seems the DLC for Fallout3 was only easy because you could load the ESM files and appropriate BSA files manually.

Just got my TE stick from ebay but I think it might be used.. there are slight scratches on the surface (ONLY VISIBLE UNDER LIGHT), some kind of dirt at several spots, and the START and BACK buttons have stain/discoloring on it. (like very little grey mark in the middle of both of them)

did all yours come in perfect or almost perfect conditions? or is mine normal and new

I'm not surprised the roster certainly never felt complete to me. I however dislike this idea as you know it won't be free DLC. Since not all online players will purchase it sort of makes a unfair advantage to those who have at least for a small amount of time. The best way to understand a character and his moves is to play as them and if the player cannot its much harder to learn what to expect and how to properly counter. But at least its not as bad as Empire total war where the player without the DLC units has no idea what stats the new units.

Sadly StreetFighter 4 is ruined by a few things. #1 being most players are awful. #2 many players are sore losers who quit early, send fucked up messages, or block you. #3 there is no way to stop people with bad connections from connecting to you thus taking you out of arcade mode just to reject them and having to restart your arcade fight.

I just love how today I won 16 times in a row against a player who simply spammed he gets lucky with Balrog once and beats me and quickly leaves the lobby and spams me with nasty messages and says that I suck. No doubt he blocked me from playing with him again which of course effects all my windows live games . Which means all the people who blocked me because they lost to me fucks me over because if they happen to play the same GFWL games as I do lets say GTA 4 now I won't see the games they are in meaning if enough people block me I may end up unable to join any games.

I doubt they'd allow someone without DLC to play with players that do have the DLC for the main reason that they need to download the files first. I doubt MS will allow download of a gimped version of the DLC - to only play against the new character.

Also, you can disable people interfering with your Arcade, it's in the main menu. With the shoulder buttons I think, or select.

There was also some talk on N4G that this is actually a teaser for a new version of SF4? They speculated it was Super SF4.

I don't think so it would be in Capcom's best interest to make it so all players have to deal with the new characters even those who cannot play as them. Much like Empire Total War some people buy the DLC units simply because they are sick of others using them when they can't. Unfair? Certainly but it helps the DLC sell.

I know I can block challenges in arcade mode but I do want them but what I don't want is 1 red bar people challenging me. I can't stand a very laggy game and now refuse to play people with such poor connections to me. So now all they do is interrupt my game.
Why isn't there a option to stop this from happening or better yet why even allow such to happen at all? It shouldn't be possible to be challenged by or auto matched with players that have abysmal connections to you.

Aye, Capcom interviews already mentioned that they *might* be working on Street Fighter IV Championship Edition* (or SF4-Dash, as they usually call it in Japan) Apparently the code and sprites for T.Hawk are already in the game which is unsurprising, Capcom had Cammy/FeiLong already, and they specifically mentioned T.Hawk, so perhaps it's DeeJay too?

Someone inverted the colours on the image and, if you ask me, it certainly LOOKS like DeeJay.

Yoshinori Ono talking about DeeJay and T.Hawk;

*As a proper retail release, much like the updated SF2 was when it got SF2' (Dash/Champion)

Yeah, but I think the difference between the two games is ETW already has the files in the game, they are just artificially locked to those that haven't unlocked them, but in the case of SF4, they are not there (at least not in the PC files), so everyone would have to download the new fighter. I guess they can implement it in a patch, and then enable the fighter only if the DLC is purchased. Smile

And that means character unlockers.

Anyway they should add Nina Williams in this game but have her keep her Rocket Launcher super from MvC2.

Way to go Leo! You predicted the name! Very Happy

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/super-street-fighter-iv-unveiled

Quote:

Tomorrow's Street Fighter announcement has spilled, and turned out to be no less than Super Street Fighter IV.

French website JV247 broke the news and offers a handful of screenshots, which feature old hand T Hawk and new fighter Juri, who's apparently an evil Asian girl working for Seth.

Those details come from various forums making unsubstantiated but convincing claims.

T Hawk, for example, is supposed to be protecting Juri, as she has been brainwashed by Shadowloo. The story apparently takes place a year after Street Fighter IV.

Other new characters rumoured are Dudley, Ibuki, Cody, Adon, Dee Jay, Makoto, Guy and Hakan (an Arabic fighter obsessed with oil).

Speculation also suggests fighters gain access to two Ultras now, one of which may be an Air Ultra. There is talk of the Bonus Stage returning too, and apparently engine changes that make Super Street Fighter IV feel very different to the core SFIV game.
