You could always get it and help figure out the compression and encryption method used on the files. Would no doubt speed up the process.

Seems to be a type of zlib compression or encryption, the utility "offzip" managed to process the files I put it trough but it gave some hex numbered .dat files instead of usable archives, that said it does point to being zlib.
(Files can be opened in notepad but not really usable, found some random nif files and part of the translation for the tutorial island so atleast some progress has been made.)

Out of interest I cannot seem to find a single pre order site for the English game in the UK or anywhere else for that matter.
What is the correct syntax for google?

i have to say that the graphics were a bit disapointing, but mostly the animations which were really bad because how it's skipping instead of being fluid and natural. Even that river they couldnt get right, looks like its animation is 3-5 FPS.. The game seems to have invisible barriers (e.g cant fall down from ledges) which is something i really dislike too. AA isnt working (like many/most titles nowadays i suppose) which is also annoying (the "stairs" on everything is very obvious, at least in 1920x1080)
Can't say much about gameplay/combat, seems pretty standard and is probably ok.

So... it's possible to play this with English subtitles and texts in general, just the voice would be in German?
I think Mediamarkt next to me has a copy... Might go and pick it up after work.
Oh and... The German language in the game, is it similar to Drakensang (meaning it's using old style, which is really difficult to understand if you don't speak the language natively) or does it have more or less book German?

SecuROM 7.40 (And newer.) is currently being worked on "Syk0" (YASU creator.) seems to have been away but returned shortly ago based on info on the Daemon Tools forums so a updated version of YASU should be out fairly soon I guess.
Other than that certain motherboards handle the new blacklists of 7.40 better so some people still manage to emulate the protection.

Played it for a bit now.
The graphics clearly look similar to oblivion, but due to the third person perspective it reminds me more of Two Worlds.
Animations are so-so. Sometimes they look natural and fluid, other times they look pretty stupid, but it's not a big problem.
Quite some characters have the same voices and faces with just different clothes and stuff like that which is also a bit annoying, but was to be expected.
The game features 3 different base classes to choose from but they don't really mean much as you can put skill points into any skill you want. I think the class you choose in the beginning only affects which weapon you start with and you also get 1 free skill point into a basic skill of your class.
There are a lot of skills you can get and they all have mulitple levels.
One really cool thing in this game is the ability to read the minds of other people. This often gets you some information that they would normally not give you, or simply lets you understand them a bit better, etc. Mind reading costs experience though, which is an interesting mechanic, so you can't run around mind reading everyone just for fun and have to choose your targets wisely.
The experience that you lose when reading minds is not directly deducted from your experience pool, but puts you in 'experience debt' which you will have to work off by killing stuff or completing quests before you can continue actually gaining experience.
The game is pretty damn hard btw, at least playing a melee hero in the first area.
I think I died about 15 times or so in my first 2 hours
Those dual wielding goblins are kicking my ass, healing potions are pretty expensive, and I have no healing magic. Might be easier for mages or rangers, not sure.
Overall, it reminds me of gothic due to the high difficulty in the beginning, lack of polish, and overall look and and feel of the game.
But at least I haven't encountered any bugs so far. It runs stable and it runs well on my not really up-to-date PC and looks decent.

The full registry string on a x64 system would be.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Larian Studios\Divinity2
(There's a string key there with the language choice, switching languages and savegames isn't possible as saves are locked to specific languages as I said above, some bugs or rather missing voice related files currently prevents any localization from working properly which is why I'm looking into a file unpacker.)
