I just installed the RTM on my mother's computer but I have one question. Is it likely the OEM bios emulation crack will work indefinitely? I understand that one hasn't been released yet, but judging by how cracking vista went, will I be able to crack it and leave it for the next couple years with windows update on? I'm gone to university on the other side of the country for the next few years so I won't be around to fix mom's computer when the crack stops working.

So you won't be visiting your mom for a few years? 
But, to answer your question, my guess is as good as your guess. It's a software, so it is theoretically possible to catch it and take precautionary measures against it. Will it happen who knows? But if it happens, be sure you will have a better emulator out before the end of the weekend.

Windows updates can kill cracking methods, also Windows Defender and I guess some AV products could detect it as malware/hostile and get rid of it.
A few times the Malicious Software Removal Tool has popped up on friends after an update/scan and it warns about having a non-genuine version of windows, pointing to the emulation crack. But it does nothing about it , lloooll I love MS <3

Using it as my main OS now, and ain't going back.
Performance is a bit less than XP overall, but I wanted to try something different.
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Working loader is out.
WoW7.0.0_NOMBR_HP.exe
| Code: | 1. Run WoW7.0.0_NOMBR_HP.exe (Don't manually extract it, and you must leave the destination folder as C:\, otherwise it won't work, don't install to a different drive or subfolder).
2. Reboot
3. Open Command prompt (CMD)
4. In command prompt, type "slmgr -ilc C:\HPQOEMSLIC-MPC.XRM-MS" (without the ", and wait for confirmation box to show up)
5. Then, in command prompt, type "slmgr -ipk CDKEY-GOES-HERE" (without the ", and wait for confirmation box to show up). |
My windows 7 is activated and won't ever expire (unless MS does something)

that WoW7 method seems to be a hit or miss according to the mydigitallife forum. i'll wait several more days before i'll try. i still have like 27 days left to activate (have not rearmed yet). so no hurry.

I can confirm that after the two succesful dialog boxes and a reboot, Windows still says it needs to be activated in 20 days.
So it didn't work on my system either, or I didn't use a compatible CD-Key.

no crap hp here, worked with one pc [gigabyte p35 mobo] and one laptop [acer 5920g]
didn't worked with pc that has msi p31 mobo, had to reinstall os twise on that one, what a load of crap, wait for proper loader
